Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Cut Ruby Donation for the Similius Cathedral

(Year 232, Fall) You might know that Church of Similius dedicates most of their belief to the green and red bars. One can not exist without the other, and we don't need to fill the green to stay happy - avoiding the red would be enough. A philosophy that transfers well to the modern ECO lifestyle - avoid consumption beyond what is strictly needed.

But did you also know that each of the 5 churches have a system of crystals, namely a red ruby and green emerald, that serves as a help to a new priest? When a Priest starts his mission, he will most often come directly from the Monastery, with empty pockets except maybe the Nestor of the Monastery offered him a couple eggs and some vegetables for him to eat or grow. When he starts his new life as a Priest, the ruby and emerald will be waiting for him. Selling those two gems makes for a better initial period.

Then - he will make sure to find new gems for those two displays in support of his successor.

It's been nearly 3 decades since Ansgar Profedius entered the top position of the High Priest. He serves the Windenburg parish, which includes the largest church, the Similius Cathedral. For 27 years the gem displays of the cathedral have been empty! But last night, right before the midnight mass, a beautiful plumbob cut red ruby could again be admired!

This time the gem was officially donated by a popular Windenburg couple.

His Grace Duke Merlin von Windenburg (80) and his much younger wife, Duches Mandy (46). It's a tradition that House von Heimlich, which Duke Merlin hails from, donates one of the two crystals. The long delay is to be blamed on the dukedom not being operated at the time when High Priest Ansgar had his investiture. This time the crystal was brilliantly cut by Erica Rab-Saxor, Baroness of Prome.

Duke Merlin and Duchess Many got plenty of attention in the past, including a love story that hardly could have been more intriguing in a movie. Mandy is daughter of retired Politician Josue E. Rosewood, and there is not a single aristocratic bone in her body. Still, the windenburgers have embraced her, and everyone longs to see the couple's 5 young children grow up. Merlin is probably too old already to see them become teenagers, and there must be some back stage meetings already preparing Duchess Mandy to operate the high nobility dukedom as a Widow, some day. The duke celebrated his 80th birthday this year and he is still with good health, so they might of course still have plenty of good years together.

The Similius Cathedral is serving Windenburg parish mainly, but because of its old and sacral atmosphere couples from all over the kingdom come to marry here, by the High Priest.

And now there is even a cut ruby gem. Ansgar Profedius does not plan to step back anytime soon, but when it happens, the red gem can be sold by his successor. Now, when will we see a corresponding plumbob cut green emerald? If not, someone should do something about it. The cathedral has plenty of silver plates where visitors can leave their donation. A raw emerald - or a cut one, both will of course be appreciated. And if you don't reside in this region, similar donations are welcome in your home parish, for sure.
