Interview: Prime Minister Rob Wilder

(Year 234, Spring) Mr Rob Wilder has served as our Prime Minister since Year 230, and for the first time he allowed the press to meet his family at Uptown in San Myshuno.

Married twelve years ago: Mrs Holly Alto and Mr Rob Wilder.

No photos taken in the huge 3 stories apartment, but the session took place at the terrace.

While the Nomination Day candidates from his RIGHT party won't go public until Fall this year, we know for sure that Mr Rob Wilder (73) won't run again for the the upcoming election. Is he fine with that?

- I do not feel that I am done with politics, and before Year 230 I hardly was involved with national politics, so this is an elder who regret he did not start earlier.

- Rob will now focus more on family, his wife Holly Alto (62) adds.

The couple has twins, and Holly also has a grown up son from her first marriage. But let's hold the political focus a bit longer. What are the most important cases in Wilder's short political career?

- I said I would fight criminals, and so I did. Crime rate has been falling, Law Enforcement as well as Military forces are a bit stronger and, if I may say, works more effectively than before. Perhaps the general resident did not notice these changes, but the criminals definitely know, and we also have a much better and more detailed overview. The criminal scene develops, today we have anything from traditional bag napping to the more sophisticated Plopsy criminals. Crimes happen on dating services and social bunny - in brand new settings where it is much harder to do anything before the crime was committed.

But, burglary seems to hit a new top?

- Yes, burglars are back, for sure. We paid too little attention because we thought ther were gone for good. But, they are back. We encourage every house to install alarms, one for each entrance.

The Alto/Wilder household resides up in the air.

How about the Snorthia conflict, where the royal palace's Chief Attendant has been held hostage for nearly a year?

- It seems to be solved. We heard from Ms. Maiden, and she stays with Snorthia's only noble family, who are known as Mazaloom friendly. I'd say she is safe and it is only a matter of days, or weeks, until she returns back home.

What was your role in those negoshiations?

- Our Military had the lead role, so I'll not take any credit for this case. The nature of it all made the conflict a case for Grand Marshal. His Majesty King Tarriot and myself were involved, but not in charge.

The Wilder/Alto family resides in a spacious apartment at Uptown in San Myshuno. From their little terrace, high up in the sky, they have a spectacular view.

- This view does nothing for me, Wilder says.

- I must admit I prefer looking at the city, Wilder says. - The bay is nice, but I am a practical person, watching this big empty blue nothing is not triggering any constructive thoughts.

- Oh, I love this view, Holly Alto chimes in. - I am the CEO of Alto Enterprises, and this is a perfect way for me to unwind.

Holly is still known for her performances back when she was a young adult, but she was only 26 when her father, Nick Alto, died, and Holly took over his company. In the beginning she combined the CEO job with the performing arts, but gradually Alto Enterprice won. She is the biggest owner, making her one of the wealthiest women of Mazaloom. She settled in San Myshuno when her first husband died. Their son, Nicko Alto () has now moved to Evergreen Harbor to support the MIDDLE party, and he might be a candidate for the election where his step father can not run.

Twelve years ago Rob and Holly married, but each kept their lastname. They had twins.

- I was a business person, just like Holly, Rob Wilder says. - I ran a rather successful fashion store at Fashion District, but sold it to Gobelin Fashion when I entered national politics.

So, what will the future bring?

- I will still support the RIGHT party from the side line, as I don't think elders can have any central position.

- And, he will support Nisbert and Anima, not the least their education and skill building, as I will be too busy with Alto Enterprises during the week.

The couple will stay at Uptown. A brand new Prime Minister House is currently under construction in Gloomville, and it is expected to be ready while Wilder is still our Prime Minister.

- I'd love to move in to test the functionality, security, routines and more. But, being late in my elected period, I expect that my successor must be the first to actually reside at Prime Minister House. Anyway, I'm happy that I was able to initiate the build, which will make the job a bit easier for all our future Prime Ministers.
