The 4 Political Parties - What if they Win the Election?

(Year 234, Winter) While Year 234 feels like the longest lasting year ever, Winter will soon be gone and on 1st day of Spring we'll see the five years election for People Chamber, as well as district Mayors and regional Councilors! This election has been long awaited as the routine is slightly adjusted. For the first time four different parties will fight over the Mayor and Councilor positions and 22 seats of the chamber, but how are the parties different? What happens if the monarchy unfriendly party wins? Or if the green environment enthusiasts are to fill the Cabinet? What changes will possibly come our way?

RIGHT party sails up as the favorite to win the upcoming election. Here is the core group debating their strategy. Mr Charloman C. Dougham (PM candidate), C ato Wugger (hidden), Henrik Kraft, Lord Bennet Ross, and Emma R. Golden.

These questions might be even more actual this time, because it feels like everything will be new! This is of course not true. Hood Contacts will no longer be elected, but instead, we'll have the district Mayors as the most local position. People Chamber will have 22 seats instead of 21, and just 1 seat will be reserved Church of Similius, representing our stately religion (used to be 2 seats). None of these are seen as big changes, though.

The parties' lists of candidates, released early Fall, reveals that two Mayors were already chosen, as their districts have just one candidate. In Tredony (Bellacorde) LEFT party's candidate Aronica (de Porportoza) Pepperstone (60) is the only candidate, and in StrangerVille LEFT party's candidate Paolo (Rocco) Grossing (51) meets no challenge. Neither Pepperstone and Grossing will be formally elected until Election Day, though, but protests seem quite unlikely. They will need to fight other candidates to win the Regional Councilor position that comes with seats for People Chamber.

The list of candidates also reveals another reason why this election feels different: 3 out of 4 parties have a new top candidate! Only MIDDLE party has a repeat top candidate (Starks). Both RIGHT party's leader (Wilder) and LEFT party's leader (Silverbone) are too old for re-election, and the new WORLD party's top candidate (Mistfield) is obviously new. This means we can not lean on knowledge from the past 5 years, but we need to learn what those 1st candidates think about a few bigger questions. After all, one of them will be our next Prime Minister:

1. Our first question: What changes will Ministry of Law & Justice handle if your party wins?

Dougham (RIGHT): - RIGHT party wants to strengthen our Military Forces. The recent conflict with our nearest neighbour taught us that the balance between peace and war is very fragile. We also want to continue our work against crimes, especially now that burglaries seem to rend.

Jang (LEFT): - We want all with a seat at People Chamber to be paid - today only the Ministers get paid while the others are expected to have other income. We think it's wrong to demand full engagement at People Chamber while making a living from a part time job, only.

LEFT party also wants to introduce a national extra tax of §1,000 per household of Aristocracy.

Starks (MIDDLE): - We prefer monarchy over republic, but we want the leaders to focus a lot more on the environment. The elite, including the royal family, owns many huge estates and while some of those have solar cells and wind turbins, others have no installments like that. We want to force them to install what it takes to run their properties environmental friendly.

If MIDDLE party wins the Prime Minister, a national extra tax of §1,000 will be introduced nation wide, for households of high nobility. Our regional plan includes our N.A.P  «Self-Suffiency» to be added to regions where we win the Councilor. This includes an extra tax of §1,000 if swimming pool on lot.

Mistfield (WORLD): - We want Mazaloom to have a President, rather than a royal family. We want our top position to be won through elections rather than inheritance. Our first goal is to at least reduce the budget post for the royal family, and gradually have the Monarch replaced with a President.

If WORLD party wins the election, there will be a national extra tax of §1,000 if household is of high nobiliy, and a tax relief of §1,000 if a household counts two or more nationalities.

2. What changes will Ministry of Trades & Taxes handle if your party wins?

Dougham (RIGHT): - We want more retail. Today there is a shopping mall in only two regions. It would be natural if each region had minimum one shopping mall, but at least one retail shop.

Jang (LEFT): - LEFT party wants a national reform where the state supports one job for each career/career branch. Today there exist careers where hardly anyone works. We also think increased focus on all careers and a better system, would secure a geographical spread. It would be a way to secure the broad representsation, but also a way to learn more about the different job fields.

Starks (MIDDLE): Our nation needs less consume and less trades! For example, if every household grew just 25% of their food, trade could be reduced with more than 30%. We want a tax relief of §1,000 if growing 20 edible plants or more. This will be done as we add our National N.A.P. "Green gardening". Less transportation would alone help mending our damaged environment. Less stores and less commercial consume, but more markets and small scale products like home crafted goods and food. Some would say it is a step back, but we say it is a step away from the path hat is leading us in the wrong direction. Local is always the better choice.

Mistfield (WORLD): We want extended trades with other nations. We want more international exchange, including both consume and entertainment. By trading with say Empire of Snorthia, we help Snorthia bloom, while we get access to a much broader specter of goods. When they buy our produce, they help us bloom. But we also want to restrict the increasing import of CC. We are flooded by imported outfits and clutter, especially, and we want a stately system to limit this growth and frequency. We would support the return of a Testsim household paid over the national budget. They can also search for doubles in the BB catalog and suggest what to keep and what to trash. We really don't need ten versions of a ship in a bottle.

3. What changes will Ministry of Culture & Entertainment handle if your party wins?

Dougham (RIGHT): - RIGHT party wants each region to have a culture house of decent size. One of them can be a Movie Theatre, but with a narrow stage making it possible hosting lectures and certain shows, too. We would also welcome a casino.

Jang (LEFT): - We want more focus on creativity, including drop-in work spaces and «custom venues», as well as smaller galleries where you can exhibit your art work without needing to be a celebrity. We also support crypts, and will offer a regional tax relief of §1,000 for each crypt funeral.

Starks (MIDDLE): - MIDDLE party wants outdoor stages. All parks should have a stage. We also want to use less land for graveyards, encouraging to more crypt funerals for regular residents by supporting such funerals with a tax relief of §1,000.

Mistfield (WORLD): - We want more focus on playing instruments, dancing, rocket science, commedy, mischief, video gaming and acting. In won regions we will introduce tax relief of §1,000 if a household member has maxed a performing skill, such as Acting, Commedy, Instruments etc. It must be a 10p skill. If we win the election, residents working in careers like Entertainer and Actor/Actress will have their pay increased by 30%. This will be done through our national N.A.P. «Support the Performing Arts». In addition, in won regions we will add our N.A.P  «Fun-loving community», which could also boost the entertinment business.

WORLD party also wants to intensivate culture exchange with other nations. Performing Artists should not be stopped by national borders, but be welcome to tour their neighboring nations.

4. What changes will Ministry of Health & Welfare handle if your party wins?

Dougham (RIGHT): - We will add the N.A.P.  «Juiced Community» to all regions where we win the regional Councilor. This will come with a focus on juice fizzing and mixology skill, but also nectar making. In general we want a more lively and "Juiced Up" atmosphere, with slightly less restrictions.

RIGHT party wants a national extra tax of §1,000 if Adult or Elder in household because we support the idea of more retirement homes. In regions where we get the Councilor we will offer a general tax relief of §1,000 for every household in that region. We will have extra tax of §1,000 if cat or dog in household, though.

Jang (LEFT): - We want to help families with children financially. In regions where we win the Councilor, we will offer a regional tax relief when there is minimum one child (household member younger than teen) in the household. However, we want to introduce a regional extra tax of §1,000 if there is a teenager in the household.

We also want more focus on Culinary, including easier access to fresh groceries, as well as a variety of restaurants. Every region should have minimum 1 restaurant. If LEFT wins the Prime Minister, we will add our N.A.P. «Foodie Unite» nation wide. Also, in regions where LEFT wins the Councilor, we will add our N.A.P  «Water Conservation». It means one day every week with less water.

Starks (MIDDLE): - We want more focus on nature skills like fishing, gardening, handiness, and herbalism. We have a National N.A.P. "Green gardening" and tax relief when growing your own food.

Mistfield (WORLD): - With us each region will have a market offering foreign cuisine and ingredients. Within the nation we would encourage more focus on regional culinary traditions, including more food stalls. In won regions we will introduce an extra tax of §1,000 if cat or dog on the lot.

5. What changes will Ministry of Science & Education handle if your party wins?

Dougham (RIGHT): - We want more residents to work with Programming, Rocket Science and Robotics, and more related classes would be a goal. If we get the Prime Minister, there will be a pay increasement of 30% for residents working in careers like Astronaut, Tech Guru, Scientist, Freelance Programmer, Civil Designer, and Conservationist. This will be done through our nation wide N.A.P. «Tech Support».

By offering a national tax relief of §1,000 if household member graduates from private high school, RIGHT wants more focus on private high schools and Tech in general.

Jang (LEFT): - We want more residents to get a University degree, by giving a one time tax relief of §1,000 when a household member earned a degree.

Starks (MIDDLE): - We support a greener everyday, and want more focus on doing gardening, interacting with bee boxes and insect farms. If MIDDLE wins the Prime Minister, we will add our National N.A.P. «Green  Gardening» nation wide, and a Civic Inspector will arrive to inspect the household and issuing a fee whenever needed.

Mistfield (WORLD): - We support Getaways and will make sure that recreation centers and "custom venues" serve various skill building purposes. We do promote performing skills, too. We do not applaud the already debated solution of getaways, and want to reduce the number of community lot resorts, and rather encourage the private initiative for successful getaways, or to do this with the use of small businesses instead.

The election is on next week!
