(Year 234, Winter) It was the 4th time that Crown Princess Emireza handed out the annual Mazaloom Achievement Award. This is a way to honor citizens who maxed a 10 level skill, and because it covers all social groups, it has grown rather popular with both the press and people in general. There are no strict rules, but the Crown Princess has previously stated that there is no cance the same skill or same region will be awarded twice - at least not for the first ten rounds.
This year the committee searched high and low anywhere but in Newcest (region Gloom, but region Mazaloom when awarded), Henford (region Rossie) or Brindleton Bay (region Gloom), and found the worthy winner in Oasis Spring (region Advorton): Sissela Morck (83).
Sissela maxed the Fishing skill quite some time ago.
- We live a simple life here at Nookstone, and back when we settled we harvested what we could fom nature to make ends meet. I often walked down to the Nook River, and over the years I maxed my skill.
Many will recognize her for other efforts than fishing, though.
Back in the days, Sissela was one of 8 contenders a the blog show «
Sims by Numbers». She did not come top 3, but she won several friends.
- I still have a portrait that now famous violin virtuoso Mr Toby T. Greco, currently my neighbor, painted during the show. Then I met Jonny Zest, and I moved in with him here and we had four children, all raised in his worned caravan.
You probably heard of some of those children; Antoinette (49) is well known from her
gossips column, and was previously on the annual «REG12 News» on TV (
all episodes on Youtube), and blog series «
Our Brand New Farmlife». Her twin brother Ray lives in Brindleton Bay working as Masseur, and Sergio (44) and his family incluiding 2 kids, share the caravan with Sissela and Jon ny.
- We are currently 6 persons living in this tiny caravan, it gets a bit much at times, but thankfully we have a desert right outside the doorstep, so we actually have plenty of room, especially when not all of us are at home. We also keep the old horse Andy, and a Llama. This is where we belong, that's why I chosed this place for the diploma ceremony.
Their caravan was featured in the very first Simmerville Show (
Youtube, show #1). Both Sissela and Jonny have worked as Comedeans, but are now retired.
- The younger audience don't laugh at elderly jokes, Sissela adds with a grin.
The Crown Princess stated that Fishing is a common skill that many residents will embrace in their early years, but that not so many will max out. She herself loved to go fishing, but admits that building the skill also requires plenty of time, which she can not expect to have in the future. The fact that the Fishing skill winner was found in a dry desert, proves that fishing spots can be found everywhere, almost regardless of where you live.
Congratulations to Sissela Morck!
Next year residents of regions Windenburg, Tredony, Crafthole, San Myshuno, and Aarbyville might be in the focus of the committee!
