Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Sims Sessions Music Festival - picture thread

(Year 227 Gloomville - Click pictures for a better view) The festival Sims Sessions featuring Joy Oladokun, Glass Animals and Bebe Rexha, might be the event of the year in Gloomville (aka Willow Creek), so the group of 6 students staying at Mossy Lane Dorm in Britechester took no chances - they had to be there!

There was another reason for me selecting this group though; as visiting sims will have festival gear replacing the top in one of their outfits, why not send a group of students - they will have their outfits adjusted at graduating from University, anyway :)

A new term starts at Mossy Lane dorm

(Year 227, Britechester) This Fall the popular Mossy Lane Dorm, known to be the temporary home of high nobility University students, is full again! It means the place will be rather packed for the coming term. The group include students who origin from San Myshuno, Gloomville, Brindleton Bay, Rossie and Windenburg. Several of them would probably never have met if it was not for Mossy Lane.

They started off the term with attending the Sims Sessions music festival at Gloom Garden in Gloomville. It's only a 60 minutes bus drive from Britechester - lots of pictures to be posted later today, just wanted to introduce the 6 students first :)

From left: Paula Mox, Leon De. de Cavalier, Lizzy Rab-Saxor,
Wolfgang Munch, Micka Kessler and Rohan Elderberry.

The dorm is located at Gibbs Hill in Britechester, Rossie. The standard is a little higher than the regular dorms, and living a bit away from campus might give the m ore serious students a better focus. It's also a fact that anyone staying here earning a degree with honors will be gifted 1% ownership in Mossy Lodgers, Inc., the company that owns the dorm. There is normally a few years waiting to stay here, and the queue is ranked by ownership - some finer houses might benefit from this in the long run.

Castle Cook Emma Sherwood retired

(Brindleton Bay, Year 227) Servants normally get replaced without a lot of fuss. They serve their master and might get publicly noticed only if they cause major failures or ground breaking rumors. But it is different when Emma (Harris) Sherwood (81) must leave Chateau Cavalier due to her high age.

Mrs Sherwood, called Emma by all these high nobility household members, has become more than a servant. She started her castle cook career 14 years ago. Then she lived at Whiskerman's Wharf as a widow with no children. Moving to Chateau Cavalier was like getting her second family, she once expressed.

Cook Emma Sherwood (81) celebrated by her second family: Lord Leon de Cavalier (32), Duke Charlopold de Cavalier (36), Old-Duke Aquess (81), Old-Duchess Claudine (77), Lady Merielle de Cavalier (34) and butler Mehdi Mandir (69).

Last week it was time for her to retire. For the full evening she was celebrated by the entire household. The now young adult children of the house adore her, and gladly travelled back home for this occasion.

Wedding - House von Kaching

(Gloomville, Year 227) Finally, Lord Edward Be. von Kaching of Gloom (46) and Lady Merielle de Cavalier (34) could give each other their vows. It's been a long wait including University studies and separation. Merielle got her psychology degree this Spring and already got herself a Professor post.

It's time to merge House von Kaching (barony, Gloomville) and House de Cavalier (dukedom, Brindleton Bay)!

It's Pride Week in San Myshuno

(San Myshuno, Year 227) Well, there is probably a lot of pride buzz all over the city, not the least at Arts Quarter and Fashion District, but my focus the past days has been the small karaoke bar at Spice Market. It's one of the old build that used to offer lodging and food to farmers and salesmen who travelled far to sell their produce at the market nearby.

The Waterside Warble recently got new renters, and they wanted to reintroduce the restaurant. As the Warble have become popular with the gay community, they were generously included with the new club concept.

Angela and Lilith Pleasant romancing

(Year 227) There's sims romancing in my Region 12, some by free will and others are forced. I tend to allow young adults stay single for way too long. I might push the nobility a little, while commoners are often left to their own.

The Pleasant sisters are found in the latter group :) I kept both Angela (37) and Lilith (37) when University became an option, and for a start they both studied. Angela being the clever one, while Lilith focused more on nagging her sister. They shared a rented townhouse at Gibbs Hill in Britechester/Rossie, but now they've split. And none of them ever got their degree ...

Btw: Shortly after the sisters moved to Britechester, their parents sold their next-to-perfect home in Pleasantview and moved to a cottage in Henford-on-Bagley, where they plan to spend their retirement years.

Angela (37) met Roger Oswald (41), a Scientist residing at Dusty Turf in Oasis Springs. He owns the little house and is actually quite successful and has a good reputation, but not a lot of money. His elderly parents are live-in Servants at Yuma Height - that's  the seat of the Baron of Verde. They are highly respected and very close to the noble family.

Jane Gargoyle moves in!

Another red lamp will get lit in this new episode, and none of the four contender should feel safe. But there are other dangers in the Free Will Show house - the house is haunted and there are four hungry Cowplants. And what about Jane Gargoyle who moves in today - is she even more evil than they think? It's interesting to see how well everyone will deal with the situation b y free will.

Remember that you can affect the next episode through voting. As usual - voting closes 7 days after video release.

Windenburg wedding!

(Windenburg Year 227) It's finally happening! The love story between the rediscovered Duke Merlin von Windenburg and the commoner Mandy Rosewood from Oasis Springs has been going on like forever. This Spring they finally tied the knot, an event that will not be totally without controversies...

They met years ago in Selvadorada when Mandy decided to stay two years in the jungle to paint the wild nature while mending her broken heart.

Cottage Living - Farming is coming!

Farming is coming to The Sims 4 this Summer! July 22nd is release date for EP Cottage Living.

And I must admit I loved the trailer that released today! We finally get rural farming content, and it's on time our farmers can have more than just plants. This pack lacks animals like sheep and pigs, but there is still a great variety, I think. Enough to keep your farmers busy, and they can even make a living from different farm stuff.

These pictures are  from the trailer.  I captured them because I love exploring those details, and because I have  waited for a pack like this for so long, I'll share more screenies and facts than I normally do.

What are those circles in the left side of this landscape? And might the ruins offer a surprise?

We don't know much, but there is already some info on the new rural world. It's named Henford on Bagley, comes with 3 hoods with 4 lots each. I have been so worried for the lot sizes, because I already have plans for an upcoming world, where I will need to move an already built house to a 64x64 lot. But how rare are those huge lots these days? I nearly fell off my chair when it was confirmed that there is indeed a 64x64 lot in Henford!

High Schools revised

(Year 227) For a good number of years Region 12 had access to several private High Schools. Teens could switch to a chosen private HS at age 26, to study there with a more narrow focus on 4 skills for their final 3 teenage years. Now the Council has decided to expand on this model, making the private HS lasting longer to make it easier to reach the required skill levels.

Starting Fall of Year 227 students will switch to the private High School at 22 instead of 26. This means all study at their local common HS for 7 years, then they either stay or switch to a private HS to get a more specific education. Because such a switch is quite costly it's mainly an alternative for the high society. There might be a need of signing up a few years in advance. Anyone 22-26 will be allowed to join a HS this fall, but from Year 228 all new students must be 22.
