High Schools revised

(Year 227) For a good number of years Region 12 had access to several private High Schools. Teens could switch to a chosen private HS at age 26, to study there with a more narrow focus on 4 skills for their final 3 teenage years. Now the Council has decided to expand on this model, making the private HS lasting longer to make it easier to reach the required skill levels.

Starting Fall of Year 227 students will switch to the private High School at 22 instead of 26. This means all study at their local common HS for 7 years, then they either stay or switch to a private HS to get a more specific education. Because such a switch is quite costly it's mainly an alternative for the high society. There might be a need of signing up a few years in advance. Anyone 22-26 will be allowed to join a HS this fall, but from Year 228 all new students must be 22.

Attending a private High School might force the teenager to move to another district. Daily traveling is an option for some, while others prefer a lodging closer to the school facilities. In most districts there exist either pensions or retable rooms in a private homes. Many locals have relatives in other districts which makes it easier to stay a few years away from your home district. Several top society houses do hire a live in servant (tasks can vary), and some of these positions can be combined with studies.

Each private High School offers a certain selection of subjects/skills:
Windenburg Business School (Old town in Windenburg) - focus on business and writing
Butler Academy (Arts Quarter in San Myshuno) - focus on handiness, cooking, parenting and gardening.
Landgraab Science Institute (Dusty Turf in Oasis Springs) - focus on science and farming
The Showbiz Academy (Mirage Park in Del Sol Valley) - focus on acting, dancing and music
Casbah Art School (Arts Quarter in San Myshuno) - focus on Painting, Photography and Handiness

Buckingham High School (Commercial area in Gloomville)
Windenburg Secondary School (Lykke in Windenburg)
Rossie High (Gibbs Hill in Britechester/Rossie)
