First Winner announced: Mazaloom Achievement Award

(Year 231, Fall) This Spring, at the annual Great Mazaloom Gathering that took place in Tartosa, HRM King Tarriot announced the brand new Mazaloom Achievement Award. The prize is to be handed out every Fall by HRH Crown Princess Emireza, and is all about skills! Anyone reaching level 10 in any skill can be nominated by anyone, by contacting the R.P.O. (Royal Palace Office). There's no deadline because nominees will stay in the pool for as long as they live.

Last night the very first award winner was announced at the Planet Honey Pop! karaoke bar. Did the R.P.O. pick a worthy winner?

HRH Crown Princess Emireza announcing the first Mazaloom Achievement Award to Olivia Clump.

The Mazaloom Achievement Award Year 231 goes to jazz legend Olivia Clump (78)!

Crown Princess Emireza announced it so well:
- She has entertained us all for decades, but that is not why she is here tonight. Olivia Clump was raised in a household where skill building was a main focus. Every generation added one more focus skill, and every generation had to max out more and more skills. Olivia did max out not just one, but three skills, and she is still working on her fourth! Cooking, Painting, Singing, with Gardening soon to follow!

Although the event was not at all meant to focus on Olivia's successful career as a jazz singer, the question from the press was obvious:
- Is your family's Singing skill challenge the direct reason for your jazz career?
- Yes, I never thought of it that way, but I think you are right! My family always enjoyed music, I and my brother grew up with it. We still sing a lot whenever we gather. My oldest son Garvin is now a Musician, too!

Olivia Clump might decorate her greenhouse with the new diploma!

Olivia Clump was grateful for being acknowledged for her high skills, not only in Singing:
- Thank you, this diploma will be a precious treasure on my studio wall! Or maybe on my kitchen wall, or in my painting room? Or it might inspire me to reach the final top skill in my green house! Could I have a few more copies, please? *shrug* Thank you so much!

Fans and press had found their way to Planet Honey Pop! this night. The popular karaoke bar has moved down into the basement, to give room for Gobelin Fashion's catwalk and other establishments on ground floor of the building, but the club is still intact.

It is the Crown Princess' idea that the winner shall decide the location. Critics have already stated that such a national award should be handed out at the royal palace or in the Council House, or perhaps in a school auditorium, but Olivia Clump preferred a location more connected to the winner's top skill. Olivia is best known for frequenting the club at Crestville, of her home district Newcrest, but that arena was definitely too small for a big occasion like this.

This was Emireza's very first community engagement after turning 20 years old, recently. And she did very well. Online comments seem generally positive to her adjusted appearance, but we can't expect that she found her final style quite yet, can we? It was also noticed that she had borrowed her mother's favorite brooch, the «Diamond Star Brooch», which was perhaps a bit too formal for this occasion.
