PM Candidates - Their Campaigns and Origin

(Year 234, Fall) The upcoming election will give us a new Prime Minister, for sure; Mr Wilder is too old for re-election. None of the four candidates were in such a high position previously, and some of you might like a little more information on their campaign and diverse origin. Some come from working class, while others descend from aristocracy - kings, even. Let's have a closer look!

Will our next Prime Minister be Dougham, Jang, Starks or Mistfield? Only one of them can win.

While most experts would say there are only two true candidates, Mr Charloman C. Dougham (RIGHT party) and Anaya L. Jang (LEFT party), we'll check the background of the top candidate from all four political parties. This will be quite briefly, as anyone desire more can easily learn more by browsing the online residents index.

The four candidates' campaigns have been seen on street boards for a while already. Dougham's "Vote RIGHT" campaign was pretty well received, appearing as the more traditional, while Starks' playful design involving dead trees as well as her upside down portrait might appeal to the less conform voters. The new WORLD party surprises by not personalizing their campaign at all, but Mistfield has stated that they first need their logo to be reckognized - and he will be too old to lead the party beyond this 1st period anyway, seeing it as a better strategy to promote the face of a next leader instead.

Mr Charloman C. Dougham, RIGHT party

Many bookmakers hold him as the favorite to become our next PM, but desbite his strong political experience over many decades, hardly anyone knows his background. It was hardly talked about, except that his sister, Mrs Charlotta Crumpleton, is also a central politician, representing the same party. In act, this period they both have a seat at People Chamber.

Charloman (61) grew up at Upperton in Gloomville (Region Gloom). He was born into aristocracy, and moved to Newcrest as he married one of the nation's wealthier women, Mrs Corinne Dougham. They both lead successful Business careers, Charloman gradually switching his focus to politics. They had triplets who will grow up in just a couple years.

His family tree reveals that his father descended from a family running a timber business locally in Gloomville. His mother was of  a noble heritage, descending from House of Brixerwood, who held the Gloom barony for about 150 years. The uncle of Charloman's mother was the last Baron of the House, Baron Victin of Gloom. With him the Brixerwoods went extinct.

As if this was not enough, Charloman's mother's grandmother, was Cordelia Ann of the House von Donnersmalt (Verde barony). She was the granddaughter of King Baltazar II. Charloman has no lines connecting to our current royal House of Luxe-Hamper, though.

Charloman also descends from the native tribe of Chestnut Ridge. His mother Wilma's grandmother was Palma Chestnut, married to Connor Mistfield - so yes, an ancestor of WORLD party's leader, Roger Mistfield. Roger Mistfield and Charloman C. Dougham are 2nd cousins.

So, with lines to aristocracy, royals, and even the natives of Chestnut, Mr Charloman C. Dougham should cover quite a few groups of voters.

Anaya L. Jang, LEFT party

Anaya (68) was born Lemuur, to farmers in Selvadorada (Sea kingdom). Both parents died in an accident when Anaya was only 3 years old, she was raised by neighbors, but later sent to a children house in San Myshuno. She once revealed that she doesn't even own a photo of her parents, all she knows is their names and age, and where they had their little farm at Puerto Llamante in Selvadorada. Anaya's ancestors most likely were limited to the Selvadorada area, which was never thoroughly indexed by Sea kingdom.

Our constitution has no restrictions regarding place of birth, all that matters is to reside in the district were you run for Mayor. It is all up to the political parties to find good candidates, and of course to the voters to pick their PM. Anaya is a 100% self made woman, successful not only in politics. She is a decent painter, and she always supported local cultures being of a native character, or simply San Myshuno's city vibe. Her political career spans several decades, best known for leading the Ministry of Culture & Entertainment through several periods.

She sill resides at Arts Quarter in San Myshuno, with husband Baako and their daughter, Billie.

Rebekah Starks, MIDDLE party

Rebekah (47) represents the new generation, especially regarding the ECO movement. She has been leading the MIDDLE party for many years despite still being the youngest candidate.

Her origin is local, but she doesn't know much about her ancestors. She was born to workers at Grm's Quarry in Evergreen Harbor. Her father was killed in a quarry accident before Rebekah started school, and her mother, Tiffy, died quite some time ago. With no siblings the posibilities for learning about her grandparents were limited. They were said to reside at the workers' quarter in San Myshuno and her mother's parents later moved to Newcrest where they died long before Rebekah was born.

Now Rebekah resides at Conifer Station in Evergreen Harbor, with partner Knox Greenburg and their baby child. Knox is a central member in the MIDDLE party, and has a seat at People Chamber for this period, but they can't both run for becoming the very first Evergreen Harbor Mayor. The district used to be administrated by Gloomville, but was admitted district staus few years ago.

Roger Mistfield, WORLD party

Roger Mistfield (69) has been introduced as a fresh resource to Chestnut Ridge and the Advorton region, but his family tree reveals that the line back to aristocracy is rather short. He was raised at the nectar farm established by his grandparents in Chestnut Ridge. Roger now owns this farm.

His father's father descended from the native Chestnut tribe, while Roger's father's mother was the daughter of the Count of Advorton, by then well established with the Altham Ranch in Chestnut Ridge.

Also Roger's mother was of interesting families. Her mother, Olessa von Donnersmalt, was great-granddaughter of King Courtis of House of Thebe, Mazalooms very first monarch although for one year, only. Olessa's mother was daughter of the famous Pirate John Buttercups from Tartosa, who was said to have a romantic relation to Princess Cordelia, but actually married the princess' sister, Contessa. Olessa's father descended from the Verde barony in Oasis Springs, but this line has later been questioned by historians.

Roger resides at Rider's Glen in Chestnut Ridge, with wife Constance and their daughter Lonita (11). He founded the WORLD party, and although this will be his first and last election (due to age restrictions), he will probably have some impact on the party for years to come.

All in all, the four candidates certainly represents our common history in different ways. Dougham and Mistfield with a clear nod to aristocracy - the two even being 2nd cousins, while Jang and Starks come from more humble families, hardly knowing their own past. With different family background, careers and political statements, the mix is complete. It will indeed be interesting to see how the upcoming Year 235 Election will fold out.
