Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Lovestruck in Ciudad Enamorada

The trailer for the new The Sims 4 expansion pack "Lovestruck" is here!

Most new features relate to romancing, naturally, but my eyes rather decided to search for new flower arrangements - and there seems to be plenty of them :). One is definitely flowers gifted to a date, and I just hope they can be displaced in a vase afterwards. But there are so many new bouquets in a vase that I'm eager to find out whether sims can give various arrangements to a date? What if they all are gifted from one sim to another? Some of my sims could get very busy siimply to collect all those flowers - ditch the date, but keep the gift :)

Let's start with what looks like a kiosk to buy the flowers that you intend to gift your date. It can hopefully also be used to buy the same bouquets for yourself, or your spouse, but it might come with a too romantic flaire to gift your mother-in-law.

It might compare to the flower sale in Tartosa (My Wedding Story), where you can buy wedding bouquets. Those wedding bouquets can also be crafted by a Florist (flower arrangement table from Seasons ep), so I wonder if also the Lovestruck arrangements can be crafted at home by a sim with a certain flower arranging skill.

On the left side table above is a orange/green arrangement in a vase. It might be an ordinary deco object, but it could also be that this female character was gifted flowers in the past.

And this is the pink/red massive floral gift, the obvious choise for any cassanova being a sim from a romance trailer or being named Don Lothario. I assume it will come in a few color options, and I already hope that my duchesses can use arrangements like this around their palace without making their duke suspicious...

Another nice bouquet on the round side table in the livingroom above. White and pale yellow might appear as less romantic, but could still be an option. And - if this bouquet can be gifted, it probably comes in a pink version, too. The palm plant to the left looks great, too, but might be a bit to much for a sim's inventory.

Above, on the right side endtable, is the smallest bouquet seen yet. Looks like two flowers in a tiny vase. Perfect on any endtable, and probably a good choice at some dates where a sim is somewhat afraid to impress too much ;)

The picture above includes a little flower arrangement on the table all to the right. It's a bit hard to describe from this picture. Another interesting item is what looks like a new table game with cards, seeming like a game for grown ups? It might be a way to unlock your date's turn-ons/offs. This might be a lot with the new "single sims" lot trait. Maybe the game works better here than with your family at home...

In front of the fireplace above is another color version of a flower arrangement mentioned already. This time they are more paler pink, indicating that (most) arrangements will come ewith color options. Thank you! I just hope there also are alternsatives that are not all pink-ish. If so we can make even  better use of these new flowers for deco.

The yellow flowers in a vase by the window in the background might be one that I already commented. Might be a regular deco object, but might also be another giftable thing.

Displaying gifted flowers is important in a person's life. It also adds a reason for gifting them in the first place. In a way I hope they will come with a time stamp, like staying fresh for "3 years only". It feels a bit wrong when flowers in a vase can be passed on through generations for a full century or more.

I can't wait to find out more!
