Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Adjustments to Nectar deeds

(Year 232, Winter) Merchants Guild has today announced that several adjustments will affect most current Produce Deeds regarding nectar making. There are two reasons for these changes. The most obvious is the switch from an old (CC) production system to a new routine based on Advorton traditions. The second reason is that the old system offered a total of 19 unique deeds, while the new system narrows this down to 9.

Claudia Tangerin Mester Shine met the press at Oasis Spring's nectar store.

A Produce Deed is required only if you intend to sell your produce via the nifty drag-n-drop system or via retail stores. Deeds are not needed if you sell from ie street tables or at a market square. Also, producing for own private consume is available to everyone regardless of deed.

Claudia Tangerin is the current leader of the Merchants Guild core group, but any changes need an approval from the Trades & Taxes department.

- We report to the department, but in this particular case we helped designing the design of the new system of deeds. We tried to transfer existing deeds over to the new system, but unfortunately we also had to make a few existing deeds extinct. This mainly affected those who held multiple deeds, but replacing 19 by 9 did obviously not make everyone happy. A few were less active with their old deed, so we agreed on actually buying their deed back, including any value that built over the years. We also attempted to spread the new deeds regionally. It helped us that the regional reform was just completed.

So, who are the current deed owners?

Windenburg (Region 1)

This region holds a long nectar making tradition, actually ever since the Medieval Age. Both House von Heimlich and (later) House von Fyres were major nectar providers selling all over the nation  and even directly to the old royal castle.

House von Heimlich owned the deed to sell Chamomile nectar, but has chosen to slow down on their business. Their old deed is now going extinct*, but Duke Merlin von Windenburg states that he now gets much needed time to tend to his nectar collection instead.

House von Fyres held the old Grape nectar deed, and will stay a major producer of regular Grape nectar. No changes there.

Rossie (Region 2)

Rossie started their Apple nectar production in the Medieval era, too, and the apple is Henford-on-Bagley's signature crop. There are several historical references to apples, not the least the Great Apple War, when locals managed to scare away foreign soldiers by throwing apples on them. Rossie is internationally known for their Rose nectar, an exclusive product embraced by the higher society.

House of Ross keeps the only old format deed that won't go extinct, namely the Rose nectar deed.

House of Ross also keeps their Apple nectar deed, although transferred to the new format.

Tredony (Region 3)

Tredony is among our busier nectar providers and in the past they held more nectar deeds than any other region. This involves deeds owned by members of the Royal Family, of course. They will still be busy, but there are quite a few changes:

HRM King Tarriot owned the old Vino deed, which now goes extinct. Instead His Majesty will take over House de Cavalier's old format Assorted fruit nectar, which will transfer as Fruit nectar. The production will still take place at Villa Vigna, Tartosa, owned by the Mazaloom Royal Trust.

HH Prince Jerome (House de Luminoso) used to own the Fruity Mead deed, but this old deed now goes extinct. Prince Jerome was always more interested in collecting nectars, but the house will of course still make various nectars for own consume.

Chalbert de Froux Mester Sangiovese and his necar deed left Tartosa for Chestnut Ridge.

House de Buttercups see many changes as they lose their 2 old format deeds, Honey Grape nectar and Pink Lemonade (both go extinct), but has bought 1 new deed from House de Gould (Glimmerbrook in Ticktop). The new nectar deed is Strawberry nectar, that they will now deliver to the entire nation.

Crafthole (Region 4)

This region never focused much on nectar production, but the Count will have one deed for the future.

House of Paris (Count of Crafthole) loses the old Ruski deed. Instead they get the new format deed for selling Trash nectar nation wide.

House de Gould should be mentioned here too, as their old region 8 will soon be integrated with region 4. They used to own the old format Strawberry nectar, but due to minimal produce ad other interests, they agreed to selling the deed, transferred to new format, to House de Buttercups (Tartosa in Tredony). On a side note House de Gould might still produce Valerian nectar. This is one of the very old traditional nectars with minimal production and a regional approach, and no need of a formal deed as there exist no commercial market.

Myshuno (Region 5)

No nectar production in the city, but plenty of ways to purchase it and places to consume it!

Aarbyville (Region 6)

Both the Aarbyville dukedom and the Jacobian Cathedral hold long traditions of producing their own nectar, but not commercially. So,  currently no deeds registered in this region.

Advorton (Region 7)

With the new nectar making format, plus that district Oasis Springs was integrated with this region, region 7 becomes the region with the highest total number of deeds. This is also where nectar making stands strongest with community.

House of Altham's old Pear nectar deed goes extinct, but they get the traditional Prairie grass nectar deed instead, new format of course. Also their old Ebony Arbor deed goes extinct , without replacement.

It's not Count Chander of Altham but his old uncle, Floyd Altham (pic.), who grows their nectar ingredients.

House of Sax-Donnersmalt brings on Oasis Springs' old traditions involving Lemon, which is the district's traditional signature crop from. Both their old format deeds Lemon  nectar and Limoncello go extinct, but instead they get the new format Energy nectar, which do require Lemon and herbs.

House de Froux recently moved from Tartosa to Chestnut Ridge. Their old Blackberry nectar deed will be renamed Berry nectar deed, matching the new format.

Gloom (Region 8, former part of Reg 12 Mazaloom)

This region was never big on nectar making, but the Mugger Farm held the Potato vodka deed for some time. They now lose this old format deed, but get the new Potato nectar deed. No change to ingredients there.

House de Cavalier used to own the old format Assorted fruit nectar deed, which is now sold to King Tarriot.

Mrs Tangerin: All nectar stores selling nectars have been contacted.

Immediate effect

The changes take effect immediately, because only the parties already involved will be affected. New deed wall hangings will replace all old nectar deeds (except the old Rose nectar, see the Rossie region), to be delivered this Fall.

In addition the following brands are produced in small numbers and require no drag-n-drop selling: Moonpetal nectar (trad region 4), Plasma nectar (trad region 2), Valerian nectar (trad old reg 8, now reg 4), and Vitality nectar.

Note: Changes affect Mazaloom kingdom, only. Sulani kingdom might still sell a few of their famous brands, old format.
