(Year 233, Spring) Last year global star Octavia Moon (52) surprised everyone stepping out as the new owner of popular lounge Orchid A Go Go in Del Sol Valley. She announced that her new book publisher company Moon Books, Inc. will now occupy a fair share of the building, but that the feel of the existing lounge would be preserved like everyone knows and loves it. Go Go has been closed for a month during building reconstructions, and yesterday was finally opening night with a chance for us all to check out the result! And to everyone's surprise, opening day also included a release of a new book secretly written by Octavia Moon!

Olivia Clump was ready to sign her new biography «Olivia», written by Octavia Moon. |
That's right, it looks like internationally celebrated jazz legend, Olivia Clump ready to promote the new book! Before we check out the new bookstore, let's rewind one hour to see the official re-opening, at the entrance!
The opening attracted quite a few fans, but there were also investors, the full Moon-Bailey family and even Queen Venezia. Her royal highness was there to cut the ribbon, which would probably be more expected for the opening of a national community service than a private business initiative. But then again, the Moon-Baileys are neighbours to the Royal Palace and Orchid A Go Go is pretty much a community landmark of Del Sol Valley. It's appreciated that the royal family also focuses on their home district.
First, Octavia gave a short speech welcoming everyone to what is clearly an event on her Bucket List. She thanked the investors who helped her bringing the Moon Books, Inc. to life, especially Mrs Corinne Dougham Mester Crestville, who is the 3rd biggest owner (13%), after Octavia and Octavia's company. Investors were essential because for a stock company the main owner can not own more than 60%. Octavia also explained that Go Go now focuses on Writers and Readers, offering a bookstore, a meet and greet nook, a small area for literature lectures and two small rental offices intended for Writers. Offices for the Moon Books administration will be a next step, as the application process with Region Tredony is not yet completed.
Octavia then introduced HRH Queen Venezia, who talked about Orchid A Go Go's position as a central brick in Sol Del Valley's identity. She said that there were very few persons she would trust as much as Octavia Moon, when it comes to adjusting the district's precious identity.
She also mentioned a few of Octavia's former merrits, although a global star hardly would need any introduction at all.
The ribbon was then cut and the crowd could step inside. The first stop was the brand new bookstore where the fresh release «Olivia» dominated a promotional stand.
Jazz legend Olivia Clump might no longer be singing, but she is still a national celebrity with many fans. Olivia turns 80 this year, and the biography had been secretly planned for a few years. It was written by Octavia Moon and includes numerous facts about the jazz singer that never before reached the public. It will for sure become a bestseller this year!
It was naturally a day for fainting fans. Royals, global stars and a celebrity like Olivia Clump, all in one go-go? Royals never give out autographs, and Octavia Moon was too busy with her guests and the press, so this day fans flocked to Olivia.
She was always popular with fans and autograph collectors. Now that she has closed her singing career, she is no longer seen as much out and about. So, she obviously enjoyed the attention for just one more day. The book sold well, and turning 80 is indeed worth a celebrating.
Fans went high...
... and low!
Now, let's have a quick look around! The new Orchid A Go Go will focus on Writers and Readers. The bookstore is packed with old and new titles, and the empty frame on the wall is meant to display a "Writer of the year" portrait, expectedly published by Moon Books, Inc.
A half-wall in the back hides a nice reading nook that is also a good spot for meet and greet events.
Food can be served, but the champagne served at real big evens might take place on the lounge stage. The stairs in the background still leads up to the old VIP section, which has not yet been renovated.
Also the Lounge stage is pretty much unchanged.
The stage podium was moved a bit closer to the bar to give room for new lounge seating. In the background we see another half-wall separating a small area for literaure speeches,
With only six seats it is intended for the smaller gatherings, like literature classes, a Writer's "this is how I wrote my book" lectures. The nook can also be used by clubs and organizations. Like you can see, the next speech will feature news regarding the Flock People.
In this area there are two green doors leading to tiny rentable offices.
They can be used by Writers who need to concentrate on their work. Many Writers work at home, but with family and everyday matters it might get hard to concentrate.
They can bring their laptop and perhaps a favorite deco/mascot, and sit here for hours. There is a schedule of course, simply contact Moon Books to sign up for free!
After this round it was time for a group photo!

The young man to the right is Octavia and Thorne's son, Orange Moon-Bailey. They also have a toddler daughter, Lucila, who was at the event, but was asleep when the photo was taken.
Finally, in case the little tour was a bit confusing - here is an overview of the place:
The old bar area was not affected. The bottom-left section belongs to a separate renting stylist business, Salon Orchid, currently run by Billie Jang.
