Pepperstones splitting?

(Year 234, Spring) There are rumors that the Pepperstone couple is divorcing, or are they just splitting up strategically? Mr Laurent Pepperstone was our previous Prime Minister for one period, and he has announced that he wants to run again. His wife, Aronica, who used to work in his shadow supporting her husband's candidature, now wants a front row position for their party, too.

Aronica (de Porportoza) Pepperstone moves to Ciudad Enamorada?

The couple was married since long, and their marriage was always seen as a solid one where their only challenge was that they never managed to have children. Perhaps that is the reason they both like to focus more on politics, which can easily take a lot of time and efforts.

Mr Laurent Pepperstone (63), born in Tartosa (Region Tredony) was our Prime Minister Years 225-230, but in Year 230 the LEFT party lost to the RIGHT party. Pepperstone has not been very publicly involved over the past 5 years, as it is quite normal that the resigning names will leave the political arenas to upcoming talents. But he never stopped being a dedicated political resource for the LEFT party. Few years ago he even participated in the popular The Bagged Talent TV-show, where he came 4th.

Aronica (de Porportoza) Pepperstone (60) was born in Tredony (Tredony), and after marrying Laurent 27 years ago, she assisted her husband. Now she has announced that she wants to step forward, running for the upcoming election in less than a year. Whether she aims higher than Mayor is unknown, and it is not very likely that she got what it takes to become the Prime Minister. A seat at People Chamber might be within reach, though.

Mr Laurent Pepperstone is ready for another election.

The Pepperstones has been located at Gilbert Gardens in San Sequoia since a few years, renting a smaller royal estate on a time limited contract. A candidate's address on 1st day of Fall prior to the election sets what district the candidate can run for Mayor in. Because both Laurent Pepperstone and Aronica dP. Pepperstone represents the LEFT party, it becomes impossible for them both to run for the San Sequoia Mayor. Rumors say this might be the reason why the couple now seems to split, but as each party's candidates are not yet official, nothing was confirmed by the LEFT party yet.

According to observations, Aronica dP. Pepperstone has moved in with her brother, Priest Ezais de Porportoza at Plaza Mariposa in Ciudad Enamorada. If this is true, Aronica might be announced as the party's candidate for this district. But, there is of course time for Aronica to move again before 1st day of Fall.

Some rumors even suggest that the couple use the election as an excuse to split because their marriage is cracking up. After the election a Mayor is no longer forced to reside in the district that they were elected for, but moving again shortly after the election will definitely not be a good move with reference to popularity.
