Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Y230 Election: Political Plans are here!

(Year 229, Fall) In less than 6 sim months, another 5 years election takes place in Mazaloom kingdom. This Fall the N.A.P. voting is on, and on 1st day of Spring comes the big Hood Contact election. Today - 1st Day of Fall, according to tradition - the three parties' Political Plan for the next period went public, as were their lists of Hood Contact candidates!

This weekend LEFT, MIDDLE and RIGHT arranged each their press conference.
Their logos are available as corkboard buttons as well as outfit buttons.

The parties will now fight for attention, and the battle is important for several reasons:

1. The party with most local N.A.P.s per region gets to set both their primary N.A.P. as the only active (dominating) N.A.P. and their regional tax&relief (ref Political Plan) for the entire region. Winning a region also will normally make for a small voting boost for the party's Hood Contact candidates in that region.

2. Winning many Hood Contacts will mean a better platform for their politics. The more Hood Contacts won total, the more seats the party gets in The People Chamber. The party winning the most seats there will not only have the President, but also have their national tax&relief (ref Political Plan) effective in all 8 regions.

3. The more (and stronger) Hood Contacts won, the better chance to get the party represented on the 8 regional Councils. Dominating a region's Council means regional political power.

The Political Plan

Each party has one Political Plan which must include:

- One set of national tax&relief, to affect all 8 regions if the party wins the President (=most seats at The People Chamber).
- One set of regional tax&relief, to be active in each region where Mayor was won.

- One primary N.A.P. to become the dominant N.A.P. of all regions won (all hoods).
- Each political party basically supports 5-6 N.A.P.s. Each plan that is not the dominating one, shall be made active in 1 hood where that N.A.P. had voters' support (no hoods can have more than a total of 2 N.A.P.s).

Through tax&relief a party can favor certain households. Say, if they want to make life easier for families with children, they can give tax relief if children and extra tax if there are elders in the household. ECO friendly parties can add taxes for swimming pools and admit tax relief per cow owned. And so on. (Oh, how I wish the N.A.P.s/bills could be this custom! Indeed a missed opportunity!).

Here are the plans approved for the coming 5 years:

(taxes and reliefs occur only once per 5 years period, on Nomination Day)
