Gala Dinner at Royal Palace

(Year 230, Spring) Yesterday the annual Grand Mazaloom Gathering (GMG) took place at the royal palace, Chateau Peak. This is a conference hosted by the The Royal Chamber, where all regional Mayors and Knights of the Baltazar (=the highest ranked nobility from each region) get together to debate actual community aspects. This year the GMG was titled «Local to Global, and back again». Most of the time was dedicated various levels of trading and exchanging, not only within Mazaloom, but also with other nations such as the two neighboring nations; kingdom of Sea and kingdom of Snorthia.

After the very busy day, the Royal Chamber and a few members of the royal House of Luxe-Hamper gathered for a gala dinner. Although the attire included both medals and expensive tiaras, the atmosphere of the party was quite relaxed. They gathered in Grand Salon Queen Evez, and shortly walked over to King Tybe Dining room.

His Royal Majesty King Tarriot leads The Royal Chamber, and is the royal protector of the GMG. HRH Queen Venezia has no duties during the conference, but probably had a finger on the gala dinner planning, of course executed by the royal staff.

Queen Venezia was wearing a long baby blue dress, that we know must be among her favorites. Perhaps because it works well with her favorite parure, the Luxe-Hamper Parure. This set of blue sapphire jewelries is not among the oldest in the royal vault, it was gifted to Queen Anna when the monarchy was reinstated back in Year 150. Queen Anna was King Tarriot's grandmother, and the first queen consort of the new royal era.

His Grace Duke Victus of Meadows with wife Duchess Gloria, followed. Duke Victus, who is head of the very old House of Saxor, is a Knight of The Royal Chamber. Duchess Gloria is also referred to as Lady of the Tiaras, because she owns or has access to so many of them, and besides - she is currently the only member of House of Saxor who can wear them. Their daughter Lady Corva is about to grow up, but women will never carry any tiara until their wedding day.

Duchess Gloria was wearing the necklace and earrings from the massive The Dragon Eye parure, with The Saxor Duchess Tiara, which is as old as the kingdom itself - 230 years! She also wore the pale green sash, reserved Knights of the Meadows District Order.

Meadows dukedom covers most of San Myshuno south of the Myshuno River. Today this entire city is part of Region 12, but city politicians are lobbying for breaking up the huge region, giving more power to the city through their own Council. Duke Victus has said he «supports the campaign, but not necessarily the gain».

This was only the 3rd GMG gala dinner where Count Chander and Countess Annette of Advorton participated. Count Chander was knighted for The Royal Chamber in Year 227 and is still the order's latest full worthy knight.

Countess Annette is known for her rather limited interest in jewelries, and she is not afraid of combining a valuable tiara with rather cheap copies of earrings. Her tiara was rented, but she might have some agreement with Casper Jewelry Broker, Inc. as she has been seen wearing this very same piece earlier. The bright green sash is for Knights of the Advorton District Order.

Advorton is a small county, equaling to Region 7. It is among the regions that are now suggested to merge, due to a rather small population. Count Chander and Countess Annette have two young sons.

Next couple represents Region 3 Tredony, which includes Tartosa. Prince Jerome the Count de Tredony and his wife, Countess Bequeenie de Tredony. Prince Jerome is King Tarriot's cousin, and the one who  inherited the Tredony county peerage, which was held by House of Luxe-Hamper for generations. He recently took a new family name, Luminosa, and by that he started a new house. He has explained that it felt right to do because his two sons are not members of the royal house anyway.

Countess Bequeenie is the niece of late Nancy Landgraab, who most have heard about. Nancy's sister, Florence, married into the House de Froux in Tartosa. Countess Bequeenie wore mostly rented jewelries, with the Tredony District Order sash.

There are speculations whether the King and Queen see the two Luminosa sons as candidates for Crown Princess Emireza's future Prince Consort. They are both just a few years older than the Crown Princess, and they are not too closely related. Besides, House of Luxe-Hamper always held strong ties to Tredony.

Talking about the sun - next was HRH Crown Princess Emireza, joined by her father's cousin, Prince Ace Baron de Portefino. Prince Ace is single and might be another candidate when Emireza grows up in about 5 years. But he is much older, and the age gap might spoil his chances. He was not knighted for any order, and if he was seen as the future Prince Consort he would most likely have been knighted by now.

Crown Princess was knighted for The Royal Chamber last Winter, and this was only her 2nd gala dinner hosed by the chamber. She is a high school student and she normally stays in boarding school in Windenburg.

Finally, Prince Royal Blaise with wife Princess Duella. They reside at Wyvern Hall in Britechester, a grand property owned by the Mazaloom Royal Trust. Their two children are both teenagers, but not seen as members of the royal House of Luxe-Hamper, as Prince Blaise waited too long before starting a family.

Princess Duella is daughter of one of the kingdom's best known Judges, and was given the Princess title through her marriage. She wore the Pearl Wedding Parure which she has on loan from the royal vault. She works with Law herself, but with the strong tie to the royal house (and indirectly The Royal Chamber) her chances of joining the High Court, which her late father lead, are non-existing.

Just a bonus capture of Prince Royal Blaise passing the portrait of his late mother, Queen Evez. It's been 32 years already since she died way too early.

The group got seated, and we must assume the meal was great. The menu was not revealed.

This used to be King Tybe's favorite dining room. Back then (80 years ago) the palace was smaller, and the western wing was not yet built. Behind the servant (butler) is the entrance to the Throne Room.

It seems like the Crown Princess enjoyed the party. She was not present at the GMG, but some time in the future she will be the one fronting both The Royal Chamber and the GMG conference.
