Scandal: Moon Liza is my mother!

(Year 230, Winter) A very picant scandal is currently on everyone's lips! The woman painted on the old national treassure of Empire of Snorthia, recently touring Mazaloom kingdom, might be revealed as the mother of Royal Chief Attendant, Patricia Maiden (50)! Art lovers are in shock, and the Emperor is furious!

The painting has been touring our kingdom since last Summer, with stops in San Myshuno, Windenburg and Gloomville. It has been seen as a great and generous gesture by Empire of Snorthia to share one of its most beloved national paintings, «Moon Liza». The paiinting has never been outside the empire before. The artist was never identified, neither was the female model. You can read more about speculations here.

Now a visitor from Del Sol Valley, Patricia Maiden, has revealed that the painting mother must be her veryt own mother, Limia O. Maiden! This is quite controversial, as it actually shoots down the entire mystery of the painting that everyone thought was quite old.

When Patricia Maiden visited the exhibition at Casbah Gallery in San Myshuno, she immediately noticed that the painting, that she had never before seen, looked very much like her own late mother!

- It was a shock, I really had to take it in and reflect on the fact! I respect art and knowing how much this portrait means to Snorthia and especially the Emperial family, made it very hard for me to release the model's identity. That's why it took so long for me to make up my mind - I simply don't want my mother to be part of a national lie.

Someone who reacted very negatively to this is HEH Emperor Orchor of Snorthia.

- The entire Empire has been deeply offended by this accusement coming from not just a foreigner, but also the closest servant to the King of Mazaloom! Mazallom has stabbed our cultural heart, and it shall not be passed unnoticed!

The Emperor of Snorthia is not happy about the scandal!

There is already a long going conflict between Mazaloom and Snoprthia as their Emperor has not forgiven how late Queen Evez accused Snorthia for not allowing females into any official organizations where power is involved. Except the women who gives the Emperor a son, which is limited to the Emperess and one or more Concubine, women automatically belongs to the lowest status class. Even the Emperor's daughters are not respected the way they should.

Mazaloom's front person regarding art and culture, Nancy D. Roxenfox (63) is shocked by the surprising news.

Nancy D. Roxenfox is curator at the Mazaloom National Museum.

- I really can't believe what I read! This painting is highly valued not the least because of the assumed identity of the painting artist. But if the model is Limia O. Maiden, who I understand died only 32 years ago, and was a Princess of Sea, the correct artist must have lived much later than previously assumed. If the model is from another state, it also harms the value of the painting as a Snorthian national heirloom radically!

Also Diego Lobo has reacted:

- This is in fact quite ammusing! It makes me want to see the painting once more, and I think it will actually build in value and popularity! If the model is a Princess, and the artist is still unknown, the speculation will gain new terrain.

- We must dare to embrace art that turns out to be something we did not expect. It's the true nature of real art!

Empire of Snorthia has announced that their experts are ready to analyse the painting to see if there is anything indicating that the Maiden woman is right, or if she is simly telling a lie!
