(Year 233, Winter) At Starlight Boulevard in Del Sol Valley, everyone with a foot in showbiz knows where to go when they want to freshen up, or perhaps winding down. The salon offers both outfits, makeup and massages. And now there is a new owner!
And from next year, which is only this Winter away, Bille Jang (31) will take over.
- I always loved visiting mom here at the salon, she says. - I brought my homework, but often spent more time on admiring the gowns and all the colorful make-uo. I grew up in a colorful home, so I guess it's time to turn that into a profession.
And what would show confidence in the next owner, more than allowing Billie doing her mother's make-up? While talking, the two moved over to the make-up section of the salon.
- I will still offer the same services as mom always did. It includes a god variety of glamorous dresses, often with a focus on the accessories, make-up, massage (hand/foot), and nail designs.
Unlike her mother, Billie will turn the salon into a full time career. - I already work as a Stylist, and will keep doing so. It might call for a few minor adjustments of the salon, but the offers will not change. I also love photographing, so perhaps I might try fashion photographing in the future. Right now I will just focus on the salon, though.
- Ha! I am still not too old to run for the upcoming election, and I will not slow down on my political engagement. There are so many changes to the political system though, my home city has become its own district, and we also have that new WORLD party. There are even minor ajustments to the election process, we will no longer have Hood Contacts, but district Mayors. It's very hard to predict my position for the next 5 years.
But you won't need to win the district Mayor to run for Prime Minister?
- That's correct. Each political party will normally rank their top candidates regardless of the Mayors (or the Hood Contacts). The Prime Minister won't have enough time to be the district Mayor anyway, especially not when the district is a city like San Myshuno. There is still this Winter before I must deside whether I run for Mayor or Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, showbiz contenders and others will probably keep flocking to Salon Orchid, like they did since a couple decades already.
