Painting of Mrs Cordelia Capp

(Year 235, Spring) House de Capp released a couple photos of their latest painting to decorate their estate. The person portrayed is Baron Tybalt's late mother, Mrs Cordelia Capp (Year 147-219).

Mrs Cordelia Capp held no peerage, it was her brother Kent Capp who was the first Baron de Bellacorde. Shouldn't that painting rather be of Baron Kent?

- However, my mother is the link to me, the 2nd Baron de Bellacorde. She loved waltzing so we could not think of a better spot for her lovely portrait, Tybalt explained.

The Capp family was actually expecting to get the Bellacorde barony many generatins ago. Mrs Cordelia Capp's great-grandfather, Mr Antony Capp, had a noble agreement with King Wizar, but then the king died with no heir in Year 118, and the nation had no monarchy until Year 150. While most existing peerages kept running, it meant knighting a new baron was no longer possible and the entire aristocracy was broken for several decades. Mr Antony died before monarchy was reinstatede, but the new King Tybe executed the old plan and knighted Antony's great-grandson Kent Capp for the new Bellacorde barony.

When Baron Kent died without children, Tybalt Capp was ready to succeed his uncle. And here is the Capp family tree.

The portrait is not really that old as it was painted only 2 years before the elderly Mrs Cordelia Capp died. It has not been on a central spot of heir estate, until now. Just in time for the Capps hosting a grand ball event. It is rumored that Baron Tybalt and his oldes child and main heir, The Honorable Betatrice Capp, are both looking for a spouse.

The ball was a success, although guests might have been a little confused regarding their attire.

Among the guests were filthy rich Mr Malcolm Landgraab, who had chosen to wear a hat with his huge mask, and Mrs Miranda (Capp) de Pill, seen dancing (front) with The Hon. Celeste Capp, who's father Tybalt is a cousin to Miranda.

Also HRM King Tarriot had attended to show off his dancing moves, loudly cheered by a group of guests. But Queen Venezia was nowhere to be seen. There exists a strong relation between the king and Baron Tybalt as well as Beatrice, but they are not related.

It seems like guests were basically dressed to honor Ondarion's traditional patterns. From left to right above are Countess Bequeenie de Tredony (who was actually seen fighting with her husband, Prince Jerome, Count de Tredony), Baroness Morgan of Verde (who recently was widowed and lost a future to the Verde barony), and Lord Millaus Luminoso, the single youngest son of Prince Jerome and Countess Bequeenie de Tredony).

No reports yet regarding new good - or bad - relations built during the event.
