WORLD party claiming changes

(Year 235, Spring) For the first time in history, the new WORLD party holds a seat at People Chamber. They control only 1 out of 21 votes, meaning the impact might not be enormous, but it is a start. The party's Leader, Roger Mistfield (70) is a member of Ministry of Culture & Entertainment, but that doesn't seem to stop him from getting involved in all kinds of fields.

Yesterday he hold a brief pressmeeting in the Council House's press area to inform about where the WORLD party is currently trying to make a change.

- We always wanted a more open world with less borders. We want to give artists from Mazaloom better access to our neighboring nations, and artists from Empire of Snorthia and Sea kingdom shall be welcomed to our many cultural velues. We also welcome more open trades in general. Food, cloths or furniture, we don't want the restrictions, we want the goods!

Ironically, WORLD party also fight for restrictions in the same fields.

- We need much better control regarding imported CC. The catalogs are flooded with stuff that was rarely used. It might be very old stuff that is no longer requested and therefiore should be removed, or it might even be CC that is no longer working satisfyingly. There is no reason to keep all that stuff, but someone needs to tidy up, and we don't have such a routine!

However, it is not only old and disfunctionally items they like to see removed.

- In many cases the catalogs offer many version of the same thing, imported at different times, or maybe firstly imported and later added with several so called packs. In my book we no longer nedd the CC if we also got a certified version.

Removing CC might upset those who already bought it. Items removed won't give them any financial refund.

- We are aware of that, so we suggest a routine where a few items will be removed in bulks, over time, and someone shall be hired to administrate this all, including informing everyone - giving those owners a chance to replace their version with the copy that is meant to stay. In many cases we are talking clutter of a very limited value, and personally I don't think those items need the same slow removal as more expensive items.

How big is the chance that this might become a routine?

- We have already involved Ministry of Trades & Taxes, and eventually we will compose a suggestion for voting by People Chamber. My understanding is that the suggestion will come directly from that ministry, though. They seemed to like the idea.

Will someone be hired to arrange it all?

- It's too early to say, but my opinnion is that we could hire a so called testsim to check stuff and suggest what to keep and what to get rid of.

Let's see how this might develop. It's not likely to turn into any final routine until Fall, the earliest.
