Royal Approval for PM Dougham

(Year 235, Spring) A new Prime Minister will traditionally get an audience with His Majesty before the new People Chamber opens, but this time the procedure was slightly postponed for last week of Spring. It's a simple meeting, isolated from all he functionality of People Chamber, but needs to take place according to stately protocol.

Mr Charloman C. Dougham (62) finally got his audience, and following tradition his wife, Mrs Corinne Dougham Mester Crestville (71) joined.

In fact, there were some rumors that it was Mrs Dougham who asked for a delay in order to fit this meeting in with her own packed calendar. Some years ago she was fatasizing over getting a barony, so it is not very hard to undersand that her husband's new position is of importance to her, socially.

HRM King Tarriot, Prime Minister Charloman C. Dougham, and Mrs Corinne Dougham.

The audience lasted for twenty minutes, but their conversation is not public. They closed it by taking the obligatory photo in front of the doors leading to His Majesty's royal palace office.

Mr and Mrs Dougham moved into the brand new PM House at Willow Field in Gloomville this week. The house was built last year, planned for a Prime Minister and with private quarters on 2nd floor, and Charloman Dougham is the first to reside there.

It is an option, not an obligation, moving in at PM House, but you know - being the first Prime Minister given this oportunity, you can't just turn down the offer. Mrs Dougham joined her husband, but told the press that her stay is temporarily.

- I will stay here this first year only. We left our Crestville mansion to our children. The triplets are now 24 and will manage, and these days they return from various private high schools to spend their final teenage year polishing their great skills. When they eventually leave the nest for University, I will indeed need to be there to avoid an empty mansion.

Rumors have it that Mrs Dougham joined Mr Dougham because there was not yet hired any Housekeeper for the PM House. She might be needed to assist her husband organizing his new home, too.

- Housekeeping will be taken very well care of shortly, Mr Dougham stated. - In fact, His Majesty and I agreed on an arrangement that should work out just fine, at least for the initial period.
