Exhibition: Exclusive Carpets

(Year 235, Spring) This weekend a different exhibition could be visited at the Kasbah Gallery in San Myshuno. A total of 18 exclusive Victorian carpets could be admired, and high society was not hard to attract.

The rugs, all of perfect quality, share a story that might place them in our history book. They were crafted for the Year 150 coronation of King Tybe, and left Victoriania. Unfortunately cargo got lost in storage, and that's where the story ends. Nobody knows for sure how it could happen, and where the container spent the next 84 years. Last year the rugs were discovered and continued their travel to Mazaloom.

However, the delivery papers were missing, and it is not clear who is the actual owner to this highly valuable treasure. You might suggest the royal palace, but they never missed the rugs, and Queen Venezia even stated (although not officially) - Oh no, I can't take any more CC rugs!

So, it was agreed to arrange this exhibition where anyone can place their bid on their desired rug. The start price is §41,250 per item, so it won't be of interest to just anyone, but at least every resident of Mazaloom is welcome to admire the rugs in the gallery before they spread into the finer estates as heirlooms.

Among the attendees was Duchess Gloria of Meadows (79), patron of the gallery.

- Oh, I heard about this container last year and couldn't wait to explore the content. It's so much fun that all 18 rugs come with the same background, no Saxor family story involved! I might need to place a bid!

Your estate can need more rugs this size?

- Of course. There is always room for one more rug. 35 floortiles (7x5) is not that big, after all. I don't plan more than that one item, though, and I already found my favorite.

The exhibitioon is open until mid Summer, only. Then any remaining rugs will be sold to Gallery Ex-Po for a future trade. All income will go into a project providing toys and activities for children in Mazaloom's stately hospitals.
