(Year 235, Summer) At the closing session of this year's Great Mazaloom Simposium, taking place at Hotel Lykke in Windenburg, HRM King Tarriot revealed the line-up for the Royal Court. Court won't take place until 1st Day of Winter (aka Investiture Day), but according to traditions the line-up must be announced not less than 6 months earlier, gioving the aristotical community a chance to react in case of shady inheritance etc. These days this is not really needed, but back in the previous eras there could be more conflicts and less transperancy.
While the announcement is a pretty regular thing with few reasons to even raise an eyebrow, this time was different. The audience was left with huge questionmarks on their faces.
A. Investitures:
House of Straud: Vladislaus Straud is new Peer to the new Hollow county.
House of Saxor: Duke Victus of Meadows is new Peer to the Verde barony.
B. Knights:
House de Cavalier: Duke Charlopold de Cavalier knighted for the High Order of the Baltazar.
House of Landgraab: Mr Malcolm Landgraab Mester Cacti knighted for the Order of the Golden Lion.
House von Kaching: Baron Edward of Gloom knighted for Brindleton District Order.
House of Thebe: Baron Rainert of Myshuno knighted for Aarbyville District Order.
House de Croismare: Baron Victor de Aarby knighted for Windenburg District Order.
House of Hoffstar: Baroness Amalia de Vert knighted for Rossie District Order.
House de Capp: Baron Tybalt de Bellacorde knighted for Crafthole District Order.
C. Announcements:
Mazaloom kingdom acknowledges the subsidiary kingdom of Innisgreen, Sea nation.
House de Monty: Mrs Juliette (Capp) Monty is now known as Dame of Ondarion.
House of Ching: With the death of Paula (Ching) Altham, this House goes extinct.
House von Kaching: Baron Edward of Gloom is new Mester Mugger.
D. Debutants of next year:

A new county!
The most shocking event is that
Vladislaus Straud, the mysterious dark man who
had an audience with the King this Spring, is in fact getting his claim through! A new county, Hollow County, will be created for him and he will get his official investiture at Royal Court! To quite a few this is rather controversial!
The new county makes reactions for numerous reasons: Nobody expected his claim to get through with the Royal Chamber. It's been generations since a new county was created, simply because those institutions are no longer needed. Besides, Hollow is a mini community, not even big enough to get heir application of district status approved. Finally, the superior Rossie dukedom had its seat in Henford-on-Bagley for more than 230 years already. It makes absolutely no sense that Hollow gets a new county, as (Forgotten) Hollow is seen as a secluded hood of Henford. A dukedom and a county in the same district? What gives?
A new kingdom announced!
There was another surprise in the line-up, although it is more of an official announcement of abroad royalty, than a Mazaloom consern. It is still not known to everyone that Sea kingdom has approved on the Innisgreen kingdom as a subsidiary kingdom in Sea nation. It took place only a few years ago.
The current
Queen Sparcli of Innisgreen is actually their 3rd monarch, as they claim to have been around for a couple cen turies already, but this tiny community will still have no real impact beyond their rather limited area. At Royal Court their kingdom will be acknowledged, which is more of royal protocol than something that will affect our own royal or high nobility community. Queen Sparcli will not attend the upcoming Royal Court, it will simply be a public announcement.
