Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Update: Community Section and Residents Registry

 (Year 225) Isn't it fun how you decide not to build a detailed online community page for your TS4 game, but you just do it anyway? I didn't plan this monster that the registry has grown into, but now I just added even more sections! And - I'm seriously thinking of scripting the family trees, as well *looking away*!

Right now the Residents Registry has been updated with all events that took place in Year 224. I do add them to the script as they happen, but upload the new version to the site only at the end of the year.

But there are loads of brand new content as well! I don't remember everything that was added or improved, but here's a few highlights:

* Clubs are now added! They can be accessed from the top menu, but members will be randomly sorted, that is if their leader is listed top, that's will be totally random, too. Minor detail that I won't bother with atm.

On each sim's BIO you will find a bulk with info on what clubs that sim has joined. If they are leaders, it will say so. I'll add more info to this later, such as if they are no longer active members - I want their club memberships to be listed even if they died, because it tells something about their interests.

In the Community sections you will find the current clubs listed with a short description and name of leader - sorting under the Culture & Entertainment Dept.

* Individual Design Preferences can now be seen on each sim's personal BIO page. They normally get added when a sim becomes a teenager, sometimes even earlier. And this is way more complex than you might think.

I've always kept track on each sim's favorite COLOR, MATERIAL and STYLE (SETTING). It helps me when choosing say clothes and interior, but could also add to their personality. But they also have various grades of focus on this, so while one sim can't think of anything but their favorite color, another sim might have a favorite but not really caring a lot. Preferences can be both positive and negative, and even if you "inherit" PINK that was LOVED to pieces by your mother, you might just as well HATE this color. The grades are love, like, OK, dislike, hate.

These preferences are partly from parents, meaning there is a chance to "inherit" some choices, of course not as part of the DNA, but more in the meaning of being influenced by a parent. But this is also random as some sims will not have any of their parents' preferences. In the past I handled this in various ways, but now my routine is set for deciding these things, but it gets too nerdy unveiling it all :)

* Improved menus in Community Section

Each sub theme is now linked directly to where you find the info, no more need to scroll as much.

* Rugs catalog

The catalog for nobility houses' jewelry has been up for a while, but the I figured I could do the same with some real expensive rugs. Point is that such rugs should come in just one item, not mass produced. This catalog helps me knowing what house owns what rug.

Those rugs also comes with history, just like the jewelries. These items are very valuable, and while most are owned by Trusts, others are essential heirlooms being passed on with care. They are quite large meaning only the larger mansions can actually make use of them.

The catalog has links to those cc sites in case you like to have them, too.

I think that was all the major changes. There are a few new regional Holidays, and also some new jewelry, and other sections have been updated just a bit.
