New Management at Gallery Ex-Po

(Year 231, Spring) Baroness Rose of Gloom (81) has finally announced her retirement. Her son, The Honorable Edward Bertophelus von Kaching (50) takes over the exclusive art and heirloom business, Gallery Ex-Po.

Baroness Rose has been dedicated to her little Newcrest business ever since her husband, the Baron of Gloom, gifted it to her shortly after their family moved to Gloomville. Back then Baron Bud had claimed the Gloom barony and the little family moved from SimCity to Gloomville because this peerage can not be held remotely. Their son Edward was not even born back then. His older sister is now married to one of the wealthiest men of the kingdom, Malcolm Landgraab.

Moonwood Mill: My backstory

(Year 231, Spring) I finally got the Werewolves GP and I'm currently adjusting most of the lots to match my own backstory. The basic lore will be kept, but I normally add my own twist. This time the defauly lots were great, so it feels a tad wrong to replace them with my own builds that will not be that great, but story line makes it necessary. Besides - main reason I grabbed this pack was to get 5 more lots :)

Grimtooth Manor is not your typical like other noble estates...

So, wanna hear a little about my backstory? The build pictured above is Grimtooth Manor (replacing the bar), estate of the Count of Crafthole. Crafthole is my name on Region 4, and also includes Crafthole and Copperdale. The region was ruled by the House of Paris ever since Medieval era. They helt the county for 230 years! They made great success as smiths, providing the King with military weapons, but with the Year 118 revolution, battles were replaced with diplomacy, and the services offered by the many smiths of Crafthole was suddenly n longer requested. House of Paris used to stay at Paris Tower in Copperdale, but then things happened...

Nobility Calendar - Year 231

This calendar of upcoming events helps me planning the year for Mazaloom's royal and noble houses. It's Year 231!

Each featured house will typically host one or two major events and will accept one major invitation per year. In addition Social Season (Summer) is packed with smaller or ad-hoc events with less formality and shorter notice, leading up to the Grand Ball at the royal palace. On top of this there is quite some representation involving patronages and more. Formal events are normally roughly planned a year ahead, with details like exact date and theme to follow. This makes it easier for the aristocracy to avoid colliding of bigger celebrations.

Scandal: Moon Liza is my mother!

(Year 230, Winter) A very picant scandal is currently on everyone's lips! The woman painted on the old national treassure of Empire of Snorthia, recently touring Mazaloom kingdom, might be revealed as the mother of Royal Chief Attendant, Patricia Maiden (50)! Art lovers are in shock, and the Emperor is furious!

The painting has been touring our kingdom since last Summer, with stops in San Myshuno, Windenburg and Gloomville. It has been seen as a great and generous gesture by Empire of Snorthia to share one of its most beloved national paintings, «Moon Liza». The paiinting has never been outside the empire before. The artist was never identified, neither was the female model. You can read more about speculations here.

Now a visitor from Del Sol Valley, Patricia Maiden, has revealed that the painting mother must be her veryt own mother, Limia O. Maiden! This is quite controversial, as it actually shoots down the entire mystery of the painting that everyone thought was quite old.

Extra: Horse Ranch EP

I'm not really into horses, but the leaked info on this upcoming EP had me caught anyhow. I'm already planning stuff - *before* even seeing the trailer. I tell myself that I'll not get this pack, because I will probably not play horses beyond testing new features, I already have 2 desert worlds, aaand my low end computer says "NO!".

In all my worlds the horse stuff is now being advertised. How can I resist?

I created some CC already, just for the fun of seeing reminders wherever I go. Above picture shows the Showbiz Academy (that's where Judith Ward is Principal). I will find ways to implement a ranch with a business, and businesses do of course advertise their stuff...

White Eyes Syndrome Trial is on

(Year 231) The trial involving ex-Politician Victor F. Tangerin (73) opened last week. He was sued by a group of teens and children, lead by Amy Cracrow (17) from Henford-on-Bagley. Tangerin is charged for spreading his White Eyes syndrome by having children around the nation, while still being married and without paying any child support ever.

The Court House foyer was busy with involved persons and press. Just a few minutes before they had to enter the court room, Amy Cracrow posed with 5 other of Tangerin's secret children. Several of them  wore sunglasses to hide their defect eyes.

Region 12 News - Year 230

Year 230 closed, and a new Reg12 NEWS video has been released today! Five minutes video with news, finance, gossips and family notes. Hosted by Simmerville Studio's news anchor, Paulo Caliente.

The Bagged Talent - Reunion!

(Year 230, Winter) One of the greatest Simmerville Studio successes ever, is this year's video series «The Bagged Talent». During 6 episodes the 8 contenders performed vaious skills with a paperbag hiding their true identity. The videos are still available. If you still plan to watch the series, do not read on... ;)

Last week 6 of the 8 contenders gathered at Simmerville Studio's main quarter in Gloomville.

From left to right: Khloe Adrian, Diego Lobo, Know Greenburg, Marcus Flex, Arnessa Thebe, Penny Pizzazz, Judith Ward and Fritz Mervil. Laurent Pepperstone and Jane Gargoyle were busy elsewhere. 

Each of the participants was handed a framed poster featuring their alter ego from the show.
