(Year 229) You might recall Antoinette Morck either from co-hosting the REG12 News, or for being the city girl buying a cow farm in Henford-on-Bagley and moving there with her hubby and their 5 kids. Now she is back with a regular gossips section on this blog! Just another way to keep track on some of the celebrity stuff going on in this corner of SimNation!
- Welcome to this first edition of my brand new GOSSIPS column! Becoming a country girl does not mean that I'm not keeping an eye on the celebrities, and here I'll share some of the gossips with you - while I'm not busy tending my five children and four milk cows... I worked with TV and Media production for some time, and because I can prepare this from home, it won't be as time consuming. As soon as we've got this column running, I might pass it on to a younger reporter - contact Simmerville Studio if you are interested!
Now for the real news and gossips! Let's start with the newly leaked wedding photos from global star Judith Ward's 4t wedding!
She surprised me a bit by still wearing a veil, but I guess that is part of the game.
Judith Ward (65) married her butler,
Don Lothario (85). They already have a daughter, Genevieva Judith (5), but when guesting the
Simmerville Show (#1) it seemed like the actress was unaware that a child born outside marriage can not become Head of House. Is that why she rushed a marriage with an old man who has been serving as her butler since seven years? Don't we all miss a little smile from the bride? Actresses can pretend happiness, right?
Not yet showing, but Judith is rumored to be pregnant again, too - which seems quite convenient as she will then have a legit child to bring on her 3rd husband's House of Ward. She was married to movie director Simerin Ward for ten years, but they had no children as Judith (has admitted she) put her acting career before family life. Many of her fans now ask whether her old butler husband will live long enough to see his child born.
Now, on to the beautiful Tartosa!
Hotel Oceana is well known for its seafood restaurant «Sort of Fishy». In the past they served fantastic dishes, but lately the quality went downhill as the hotel reaches for middle class tourists. Even so, locals still support this restaurant, not the least for the lovely view.
And who were recently spotted enjoying a glass of nectar with their poor dish, if not
Princess Aleccandra (60) and her husband
Baron Sacariaz de Tartosa (56)? The couple has resided at Terra Amorosa ever since they married 25 years ago, and are often seen frequenting the local hotspots. Baron Tartosa is a rather fresh Politician, but they also run a home based event business, where they invite smaller groups of tourists to taste some experimental nectar. Princess Aleccandra works occasionally with acting, but never broke through. She is known as one of
the Party Princesses, but she has not been seen together with her younger sister,
Princess Hortenzia, for years, despites residing in the same hood! Nobody knows why.
Baron Sacariaz de Tartosa is head of the only prominent house not owning a deed to produce and sell nectar. He produce only enough for their private consume, plus those mentioned events. If you think he looks familiar, you might see the resemblance to HRH Queen Venezia - they are siblings hailing from
House de Mandrake.
Evil voices have suggested that the couple had a troublesome few years as they still have no children, and there is speculation of Aleccandra being infertile. Which would be a terrible thing to Sacariaz, as he is currently the only alive member of his House!
Now for some mixed stuff!
The Gloom barony has relocated! They used to reside Umbrage Manor at Upperton in Gloomville, while the much bigger Oakstead was let to renters for nearly a century. Now they decided to switch, because
Baron Bud of Gloom's household is growing with The Honorable Edward and his wife Lady Merielle expecting their 2nd child.
Oakstead has three full stories and a nice garden with green house, chicken coop, pond and a patio. I'd gladly switch residences if I was the Baron, too!
Prince Jerome (64) recently hit the headlines as he decided to split from the royal House of Luxe-Hamper, to found his own House de Luminosa. He holds the title Count de Tredony, but normally go by the higher ranked Prince title. He resides with his family at spacious Castillo Tredony. And he leads a successful Business career, which made locals look twice at his new work uniform. He has left for work for a week wearing this orange Medieval costume. No wonder that locals are now questioning the Prince's mental health, but his wife,
Countess Bequeenie (61), insists that they are all fine.
Finally - a glimpse of Newcrest's most famous citizen ever: The popular Jazz singer
Olivia Clump (76):
From looking on this photo you might think that Olivia ran into a fan, but no! The about-to-faint woman to the left is actually the singer's daughter-in-law,
Janet Mugger (44)! Janet married Olivia's youngest son, Fred, ten years ago and they have two girls. It's obvious that granny Olivia is a rare visitor... or did she disapprove on her son marrying to a poor farm girl like Janet?
Janet Mugger was born at this farm at Muggerdale in Gloomville, and while main products today are Mushroom conserves and Potato vodka, the Mugger Farm used to grow food to be sold at the traditional Muggerdale Fair just across the road. Janet is also into politics and has tried to become LEFT party's Hood Contact for several elections., but she never was ranked high enough and is not seen on the party's shortlist this upcoming election, either.
That's all for now, let's see what juicy gossips I might dig up for next edition!
Hi, hiiiii! I’ve LOVED Antoinette Morck!!! 💚
ReplyDeleteSo Judith Ward married Don Lothario! I'm shocked! :D And is she really pregnant? She clearly doesn’t look that happy.
So the Hotel Oceana’s restaurant is not thaaaaaat good anymore! Hope they get better!
Princess Aleccandra and Baron Sacariaz seem to be a very simple couple despite their Titles. Is she really infertile? Or is he? 🤔
And Countess Bequeenie may say everything is fine, but I think Prince Jerome may need a little help?
Janet Mugger seems to be very shocked by the rare visit of her mother-in-law! :D
You are very creative and I can't wait for the next gossips! 😃
And sorry for any mistakes. English is not my mother language. 🙂
Haha, your comment made me smile :) Re the simple Baron Sacariaz and Princess Aleccandra - they are not seen as very highly ranked, Tartosa barony was overshadowed by the Count de Tredony for 200 years, and besides Sacariaz is not very rich either. Princess Aleccandra is only granddaughter of a former Monarch, and because of trouble they caused in the past, she and her sister Princess Hortenzia were banned from the royal palace for a long period. Not sure if that was also thanks to their eccentric mother (bless her!). Anyway, Aleccandra kept her title, but is not very close to the royals. In real life I think a grandson might get a Prince title, but granddaughter would not get a Princess title. In my case the royal peerage is gender neutral, so I did not find it right to make a difference. In the future, perhaps fewer generations will get titles.
DeleteThanks for questioning it!
Oh, so the fact that they are not ranked so well maybe allows them to have a life closer to the “ordinary” life then? I got the impression that they don't care so much about what people will think (like: “oh, look at the nobles over there in a more popular restaurant!”) and I think that is really cool! But I wonder if they like it or if they resent it. The princesses must have caused a lot of trouble! I’m curious about their story! I know very little about how royalty works in real life, but I'm loving getting to know the realm you've created in your game and I think it's really cool that your royal nobility is gender-neutral. I have this new story that's about royalty, but it's totally implausible, so I absolutely love feeling that trustworthiness (it's the feeling that I get) in your setting! Thanks for sharing it! And have a great day! 😊
