Finally, the error causing only left side info on a sim's bio has now been fixed. At the same time Evergreen Harbor residents and a brand new feature has gone public (earlier than planned for).
Addresses are now more detailed with name of house and picture of lot.
Also, the Real Estate info on the Community site was added. The previous "Real Estate" has been renamed "Moving" as the info was actually switching address regardless of owning or renting the lot.
The new Real Estate section has minimum one post per existing lot - including community lots, and shows old and new owner, as well as whether it was a sale, heritage, gift - or just an update. Most real estate trades also shows in a sim's LIFE LINE - on the bio page.
For some addresses there is lot history included, but this is a feature that was not completed yet. I also plan to add have the household address link to a list of all current household members. Not sure when that can be added, though.
Oh - and the Residents Registry now contain Evergreen Harbor residents! In the future this new district will be sorting under Gloomville administratively, but has its own section under LOCALITY.
Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Calendar Year 224
I've spent quite some time on Region 12's history and all this work has resulted in a calendar packed with events and anniversaries. It's all gathered in a spreadsheet with years and districts - still a work in progress, but already making it easier for both nobility and politicians to plan ahead. At the start of each year I'll use the calendar to plan events for my upcoming year. It's good to know they are taking place, even if I don't play them all. For the first time I'll share - here's the main events in Year 224:
This year San Myshuno is the main host of the annual Farmers' Festival. Each year the districts focus on their local main crops and flora, by decorating and eating more of their local specialities. In San Myshuno there are two districts, Meadows and Myshuno, but they have the same historical signature crop - the Holly. The city normally focus more on spicy food than the other districts, and that's of course historically based, too. Duke of Meadows (House of Saxor) will probably get involved somehow, but the Barony of Myshuno is currently not operative as they still wait for the only male heir to grow up.

Residents Registry will be repaired
I just got aware of that my Residents Registry has an online script error resulting in only the left side information showing. I don't know how much traffic the registry has, but because I link many articles from both this blog and my Tumbler to the character bios, I was a bit shocked to see that this error probably has been around for a while. I use the registry daily, but that is the offline version, which has been updated with new content.
To repair the error, I'll shortly upload the new version. I'll leave a short note here when it's done, with info on some of the new additions.

Dumpster Diving Businesses
[The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle] So, this new pack has arrived, and after lots of hours exploring and playing it still feels like I've not even started. As with every new addition there are some surprises, some disappointments - and even some features you didn't know you were missing. Although it feels like I hardly scratched the surface, I'd say that this pack adds to the game on several levels. You'll find plenty of new activities good for making money as well as building the character as well as a community feel, but there is also lots of content that might look a bit dull and "done with", but that will have an impact in the long run.
The new features seem well thought out and might have an impact on old activities, too. Like dumpster diving is a way to collect upgrade parts, which will be great to anyone with high handiness skills. You can find old furniture that can be up-scaled and used (perfect for students and young settlers) or sold as retail. You can find Eco-upgrade parts. Ink for candle making and Fabrication. And probably a lot more.

| Small 5x2 or 5x3 recycling stations like this is now popping up in all my worlds. Same design while content varies a bit. |
San Myshuno got its first Public Recycling Station (pictured). It's small and this one includes only a dumpster and the recycling machine. I will use the same design when placing more stations like this in other hoods, but the content might vary a little. My sims will need this service permanently, not only as part of the random Community Space. Besides, this tiny installment can be added to many existing community lots regardless of lot category.

Eco Lifestyle - my plans
So, patch day is already here *), and in just 3 days the The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle pack will hit! I'm definitely not the only simmer doing some planning these days...
So, how will I implement the new world and features to my existing game of 70 households with 225 years of history?

Neighborhood Action Plans
Yay! The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle comes with alternative Neighborhood Action Plans (N.A.P.). Each plan will affect the residents' behavior, and there is a voting weekends to pick the better one. As NPCs will also vote (your can influence them), I'm guessing (or hoping) that the vote result will not be completely random, but reflect the aspirations and traits of those voting. If so, the result might change over time as sims die and families switch hoods.
Here's some info on the plans I came across (not yet having the pack). More info will be added.
I've tried connecting each of the initiatives to my 3 political parties, RIGHT, LEFT and MIDDLE. I reckon the typical Eco-related initiatives were pushed by the MIDDLE party which has the younger members and is less traditional than the other two. So, my list is grouped, starting with the MIDDLE Party:
Free Love
Who needs negativity when you could be drenched in love? Who needs jealousy when you could be embraced with understanding? Vote with your heart and we can transform our community into a butterfly of love for all. Whether Single, Married, or just open, we embrace loving each other in all of its beautiful forms.
When Free Love reigns, you can gain Influence through Romance interactions.

Bills delivered on any weekday
Finally! For quite some time I've insisted that som of my homes got their bills delivered on other days than Mondays. It felt like most simmers doubted it could actually be true, and I could not prove anything. Until today!
Bills delivered on a Wednesday at 10 AM. This lot is in Brindleton Bay.

Political parties
Did you ever realize that the game has a vague system covering political parties? San Myshuno (City Living EP) introduced the Political career, which includes a lot more than just another job! Politicians need to pick their course, which means choosing one out of five political statements that they will work for. This can be based on personal interests like environment or capital, but it gets even more interesting when they are to debate a subject - then they can choose to discuss it from the RIGHT or LEFT.
If you take a closer look on the signs they wave while protesting, an object that is also found under wall decor in the buy catalog, it comes in 10 versions. There are two versions for each of those five courses! "Money for all" comes with 2 generic images, and I see them as one version for each of those two parties. It means "Money for all" can be approached and solved in two ways, depending on what party you represent.

The Jewelry Boxes
Few months ago I announced that I was prepearing to bring my noble houses' jewelry boxes online. And here they are!
Some details will be improved, but the different houses' collection of jewels can be browsed, and maybe the most interesting - there are links to where you can find most of the items online.

My Stock Market
Did I ever write about my stock market?
In my TS2 game I had a living stock market and now I have this in TS4, too! I keep track on owners, results and a possible dividend. Back in TS2 the results were based on how successful the stores were run, but now I just use a dice to decide development. When a shareowner dies, heirs get a small or big part of those shares. Change in owner structure might cause sudden challenges or conflicts between family branches, actually beyond my planning.

High Nobility: Duke von Windenburg
(Current Year: 224) I want to present the story of each of my High Nobility houses. Originally my region had ten high nobility peerages, and the Duke of Windenburg was the very first to be introduced by King Baltazar II in Year 2. Windenburg administratively belongs to Region 1.
The Windenburg peerage expired 8 years ago, but they used to be very important and their story is included in the ongoing season of my video series "As Sims Go By" (season 2, 5 episodes).
Coat of arms
This is one of rather few houses where the coat of arms was unchanged over the generations.
House von Heimlich got their coat of arms registered as the peerage was introduced Y2. Their main color is blue, as an reference to their connection to the ocean. The ice blue is a reference to Windenburg's rather cold climate. The centered symbol is a silver flower representing the Christmas Rose, actually set by King Baltazar II when he used districtual flora to find the first districts' high nobility.
