This morning Oasis Springs woke up to surprising news as the high nobility Barony of Verde published its first announcement in ages. That is, back on first day of Winter it was announced that Auphor Saxor (83) from San Myshuno had moved in at Yuma Heights right after his coronation - as he was found to be the correct successor to the Verde peerage, but that was already kind of public, following the massive court trial.

This morning the elderly Baron Verde announced that he is indeed engaged! Local gossip dealers certainly got busy as the woman turns out to be the 52 years younger Ms Morgan Fyres (31), daughter of Dominic Fyres; Lord von Dresden, Lord of Deadgrass and Lord von Haunt. Nobody saw this coming, and locals are now questioning whether the engagement builds on economical interests rather than pure love.
Auphor Saxor is the former Duke of Meadows and is with good health. He is the father of current Duke of Meadows, and he has been a widower since 44 years. His successful Military career of the past suits perfectly with Barony of Verde's military history and expectations. His young fiancée just earned her Biology degree from Foxbury Institute and was determined to focus on nectar production at Dresden Farm in Windenburg, but as she has 3 siblings and all 3 of her father's peerages require male heirs, she obviously decided to move on. With the engagement news, previous speculations that Morgan had a good eye to future Duke de Cavalier, Baron Charlopold de Cavalier, has been proven wrong.

"Miss Morgan Fyres, who was raised at Dresden Farm in Windenburg, looks very much forward to exploring the old Verdian nectar making traditions", the announcement added. Oasis Springs is well known for its locally produced lemon based nectar, and Yuma Heights still holds 2 lemon Farm Rights. Perhaps this engagement is not only for the matter of titles and future successors to the barony, after all.
The newly engaged couple met the press at Yuma Heights this morning, confirming that the wedding will take place later this Winter and that the ceremony will be quite small and private. The Baron also asked for some privacy because there is a lot of arrangements to be revitalized when the barony has been dormant or remotely administrated for 50 years.
