University Graduatees

(Year 235, Summer) The first member of the current generation of growing up royals got their degrees! There will be plenty more over the next few years, but today the attention goes to HH Princess Evendice alone.

The obligatory photo session took place at University of Britechester, where she studied for 3 years. Students normally spend 4 years on their degree, but royals (and a few high nobility Houses) follow a fast track focusing on a total of 4 classes every term. This gives less room for joing all the fun student activities, but saves them a full year.

Royal Court Line-up includes Surprise

(Year 235, Summer) At the closing session of this year's Great Mazaloom Simposium, taking place at Hotel Lykke in Windenburg, HRM King Tarriot revealed the line-up for the Royal Court. Court won't take place until 1st Day of Winter (aka Investiture Day), but according to traditions the line-up must be announced not less than 6 months earlier, gioving the aristotical community a chance to react in case of shady inheritance etc. These days this is not really needed, but back in the previous eras there could be more conflicts and less transperancy.

While the announcement is a pretty regular thing with few reasons to even raise an eyebrow, this time was different. The audience was left with huge questionmarks on their faces.

Royal Approval for PM Dougham

(Year 235, Spring) A new Prime Minister will traditionally get an audience with His Majesty before the new People Chamber opens, but this time the procedure was slightly postponed for last week of Spring. It's a simple meeting, isolated from all he functionality of People Chamber, but needs to take place according to stately protocol.

Mr Charloman C. Dougham (62) finally got his audience, and following tradition his wife, Mrs Corinne Dougham Mester Crestville (71) joined.

Palace Employee Lunvik was fired!

(Year 235, Spring) Yesterday morning the Royal Palace Office (RPO) had announced that their press meeting would address the issue involving the surprise prenancy of a Palace employee. It's of course an internal matter, but the press has been speculating a lot as the father of the unborn baby had not been confirmed. Was it another palace staff member? Or could it be one of the three princes, although none of them reside at he royal palace currently. One newspaper even suggested that HRM King Tarriot could be involved, as long as it was not officially denied.

So, there was no other option for the Palace Chief Attendant Ms Patricia Maiden (54), than to addreess the rumors. And so she did! At first there was total silence in the press room, but then the room bursted when all attending journalists shouted their questions simultaneously!

(Year 235, Spring) Hello again! Welcome to my 20th issue with gossips from all over the nation! So much is going on, I simply had to get some more Spring rumors off my chest now that we enter the social season of Summer!

Exhibition: Exclusive Carpets

(Year 235, Spring) This weekend a different exhibition could be visited at the Kasbah Gallery in San Myshuno. A total of 18 exclusive Victorian carpets could be admired, and high society was not hard to attract.

The rugs, all of perfect quality, share a story that might place them in our history book. They were crafted for the Year 150 coronation of King Tybe, and left Victoriania. Unfortunately cargo got lost in storage, and that's where the story ends. Nobody knows for sure how it could happen, and where the container spent the next 84 years. Last year the rugs were discovered and continued their travel to Mazaloom.

Top 10 announcement event at Moon Books

(Year 235, Spring) This Saturday the annual event for Authors took place at Orchid A Go Go where Moon Books has their book store as well as other fascilities related to literature. This night the fresh Top 10 list based on Year 234 sales was released, and also a couple new Year 235 releases were announced.

Octavia Moon (54) is a global star, known for several well selling novels and other genres, no longer writing lyrics for her husband Thorne Bailey. Moon Books is her heart child, and every Spring she gathers the Authors who signed with Moon Books.

(Year 235, Spring) House de Capp released a couple photos of their latest painting to decorate their estate. The person portrayed is Baron Tybalt's late mother, Mrs Cordelia Capp (Year 147-219).

Mrs Cordelia Capp held no peerage, it was her brother Kent Capp who was the first Baron de Bellacorde. Shouldn't that painting rather be of Baron Kent?

High Nobility Houses and their Crowns

(Year 235, Spring) This Spring all high nobility nobles were directed to renew the portraits showing their High Nobility Crowns, both Peer and Consort versions. The crowns are quite valuable desbite their relatively young age (crafted in Year 151), they are owned by the regional trusts and the portraits are used to illustrate the online Heirloom index (link to each House's heirlooms below).

Because they all (bar one) did visit the Photographer, it's a great opportunity for us all to take a quick look at those fresh portraits! Who are the current top nobles of Mazaloom kingdom?

Trouble in House of Thebe?

(Year 235, Spring) A delicate conflict seems to be building in the otherwise pristine House of Ross. And it looks to be caused by a two decades old interest conflict between House of Thebe and House of Ross. This might be the direct reason for Baron Rainert of Myshuno's very off-protocol behavior the other day - witnesses are still in shock!.

Members of aristocracy are deeply supporting Duchess Ribra Lynn - but everyone is still confused over her oldest son's reaction! To fully understand the conflict, which actually has the potential to grow much bigger unless handled in a civilized manner, we need to step back a few decades and look at past events involving both House of Thebe (Myshuno barony) and House of Ross (Rossie dukedom).

Royal ball is coming up!

(Year 235, Spring) Yesterday HRM Tazal King Slomar of Sea gave a press conference. The attendees worried it would me another tax claim, but no. The only point on his agenda this time, was the invitation to a royal ball!

The monarch was laughing when he revealed the news, that he was giving a ball to honor his younger son, Prince Weever (35), who is still a single man. It's time to kick him out from the royal palace at Verdemar, and a wife would be nice.

WORLD party claiming changes

(Year 235, Spring) For the first time in history, the new WORLD party holds a seat at People Chamber. They control only 1 out of 21 votes, meaning the impact might not be enormous, but it is a start. The party's Leader, Roger Mistfield (70) is a member of Ministry of Culture & Entertainment, but that doesn't seem to stop him from getting involved in all kinds of fields.

Yesterday he hold a brief pressmeeting in the Council House's press area to inform about where the WORLD party is currently trying to make a change.

Equestrian Heir Tribute in Simerinia

(Year 235, Spring) Last night a traditional tribute to a newborn took place at Dambele in Simerinia, Empire of Snorthia. Nobody can tell for sure how old this tradition is, some say it was always there, which in this setting might mean nearly 200 years. The equestrian tribute takes place when one of the protected families gets an heir to their dynasty. In each of the original three kingdoms there were originally seven proteced families, and Head of highest ranked dynasty of each kingdom would join a nightly ride to fulfill the tribute in order to honor the newborn.

The riding event is never announced beforehand, it was intended as a secret event. The focus is on the newborn, not on crowds cheering along the way, and not on the three wise and highly ranked men. Over the decades a few protected families went extinct, meaning this won't take place as often as before, making it even more special to those involved. There were a similar nightly ride last year, and the year before.

Dowager Baroness Rose of Gloom is dead

(Year 235, Spring) In a short press release from House von Kaching this morning, it was stated that the Dowager Baroness died peacefully aged 85 in hospital last night. Her full name was Rose (Welder) von Kaching, she was the spouse of Baron Bud of Gloom, and was widowed three years ago.

Rose Welder married to Bud von Kaching back in Year 180, and few years later he obtained the Gloom barony. Back then Gloom was ranked high nobility, but three years ago the barony was degraded by the Royal Chamber as result of the Regional Reform.

Scandal hits Royal Palace

(Year 235, Spring) Hot scandal reported from the royal palace in Del Sol Valley today! Let's start with the fire, although this is quite hot, it is not the biggest scandal. The fire lasted for hours, and damages has not yet been accounted for. Fire deparment was called for twice, but never showed up, and must now expect investigation. If calls from the royal palace get ignored, what calls won't?

Fire started by the fireplace in the little reading nook in the private quarters of the palace, often referred to as the fairytale nook. This is on 3rd story, just outside the royal children's bedroom section, and is where several generations of princes and princesses had been read to before bed time, by their governesses.

Audition for The Sulz

(Year 235, Spring) Yesterday there was a very important audition for teen girls all over the nation, especially those who dream of becoming a member of the new music duo, The Sulz. The initiative came from our biggest music company, High Note, Inc., and the audition took place at The Showbiz Academy in Del Sol Valley.

The company behind this idea will not tell us how many teen girls actually applied by sending in a sound file of them singing one chosen song and one song decided by the company. The number is between 100 and 500, they say. However, only 4 talented young women were called in to this audition.

Hollow County not likely Accepted

(Year 235, Spring) We finally get some official report from the recent meeting between HRM King Tarriot and Count Vladislaus of Hollow, taking place at the royal palace. Vladislaus Straud (68) claims Count of Hollow, his title going 4 generations back, to be officially accepted by the Royal Chamber.

There exist no track of such a peerage in the official formal lists issued by the Royal Chamber, meaning there exists no Count of Hollow within the great peerage. However, House of Straud is fully registered with the public residents system, and the County seems mentioned occasionally, too, the Royal Chamber just never approved, and has nothing to do with those info pages.

Recently Mr Straud was observed arriving the royal palace, so, how did the meeting turn out?

Royal Palace hired new Staff

(Year 235, Spring) As advertised last year, the Royal Palace Office has been searching for two new members of staff; the 2nd Cook and not the least, the Crown Princess' Maid. This Spring they both were found and have already started their journey with the royals.

This time the introduction was a bit tedious, especially for the Maid who would need to greet HRH Crown Princess Emireza (24).

Effects of the Year 235 Election

(Year 235, Spring) These days all 4 political parties arranges their annual party get togethers. That's where they discuss their future politics, and this year they obviously take a step back evaluating the election  results, as well. The election was won by the RIGHT party (9 People Chamber seats). LEFT party also won 9 seats, but RIGHT formed an alliance with MIDDLE party (1 seat) and Church of Similius (1 seat), and by this got 11 seats whic h is enough to win the Prime Minister an the Cabinet.

Anyways, the resilts of any election will impact the many regions, so let's take a look on how this recent election will actually hit residents of Mazaloom!

Archery Rivalry Fest

(Year 235, Spring) This weekend saw the Archery Rivalry Fest in Gibbi Point. This is the annual gathering where aristocracy dresses up in Medieval outfits, mingle and enjoy sme food and entertainments, and of course not the least; challenge each other for the Archery contest where the winner gets to own the medal for the coming year.

Traditionally 8 Houses participated, but this year the number of contending families was reduced to 6. The reason is simple; only teenagers can enter the Archery contest and the same teen can not sign up two years in a row. With 6 contenders it gets easier to find those 6 teenagers.

So, who will win, and not the least - who will shoot an apple of the head of the leading Lady of last year's winning House?
