Pauline and Hector Detesters are up for another testing day! Hector's daughter from first marriage, Annie, returned to her home last night, but now they have the elderly dog, Sabby, instead.
This morning they were both busy in the atelier. They just checked the day's email from Twinbrook Imports, Inc. Today they will test a few hospital beds, but there was also a choice to be made for a future testing;
Alternative 1: Moving abroad to test a new in-the-making world for 6 weeks.
Alternative 2: Serious larger scale testing with possible affect on homely ground.
Pauline turned both down, but in the end they chose alternative 2.
Hector: I checked Sabby's test doghouse and food bowl, he seemed well rested and well fed, it all seems to work. We need to keep it all, but still need to report our test results.
Sabby (on the floor, following Pauline): Grunt-grunt...
Pauline: Give me a break, Shabby! Why don't you go outside to play in traffic?
Hector: Pauline! He just wants your company.
Pauline: And I just don't want his.
Today they saved the testing for the evening. If needed, they could always test those hospital beds during the next couple nights.
They went to Twinbrook's Consignment store to sell Pauline's paintings and Hector's invented toys.
Pauline: Well, Sofia, some day my paintings will make you famous! People will point at you and say; "There goes the trashy woman who helped selling Pauline Detester's fantastic paintings!"
Sofia: Really...? Well, then why is it so hard to sell any of your work? Did you ever consider painting still life? Portray someone in the park, perhaps? Your current work simply don't cut it!
Pauline was speechless! But maybe Sofia was right, maybe she could paint more landscapes - real Twinbrook landscapes - and butterflies - the real ones?
They walked over to the park, although it was already getting dark. There they ran into Pauline's mom, Sally Sands.
Sally: I heard about the pizza serving! What's going on over there Pauline? You know how to cook on a Sunday, so why don't you? And a dog? Yuck!
Pauline: It was a busy day, mom, Hector an I got a new job as testers.
Sally: What? Testing what?
Hector: We assist a company that imports new products to the stores. It's... interesting. We paint and invent, also.
Sally: No time for kids then? Don't wait too long, one morning it will be too late, Pauline!
They returned back home to test. First they had to unpack 4 hospital beds, which was quite demanding. Then they squeezed 3 of them into the living room.
Pauline: What were they thinking, sending us these? Our pay is to keep one of them! There's no longer any logics involved with this job, Hector. Do they think we are doctors... oh, well, I can live with that...
They got started, but then it all took weird directions... Suddenly Hector jumped from one bed to another, ending on Pauline's chest.
Pauline: Awg... disqualified tester alert!
Hector: Sorry, dear...
Few seconds later, Hector flew back to the bed he was testing, while Pauline was tossed around, ending up in a position that was way too uncomfortable to any sick person in a hospital.
Pauline: Auuu...! Help!
Hector: Shhhh, I'm testing the sleep functionality, and I think it works!
Pauline: No, no... if these beds are typical for Twinbrook Hospital, I will never bring a single virus to those doctors!
Still, they hooked up for a quick nap... there is a chance they were never before this close!
Pauline: We should test the other bed, too!
Hector: Zzzz... I think Sabby is taking care of that... zzzz
Hector: Pauline, why don't we go to bed early? No need to start any projects this late... mmm... come here...
Pauline: No! What are you up to? No kissing in my living room! Your old family portraits are on the wall! And besides, I didn't have my nap yet. I'll not go to bed before I had my nap!
Okay, so old routines are hard to change... Hector reading his paper, or is he only pretending? What's on the mind of such a lucky guy...?
(Tested today: Hospital beds are part of a big hospital set by Hekate999. The set is not compatible with TS3 patch 1.26. I'll keep the files ready for storytelling, but not generally installed).
Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.
Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!
I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.
