Yesterday there was a Dinner Party in the dining room, and I worried a bit for today's meeting as nobody had cleaned the tables, and Quatore who is the Cleaner is not doing his chores until after the meeting.
But then, 15 minutes before the meeting is about to start, Fiona starts cleaning the tables - was that a random thing, Fiona? Great timing, although we allowed the meeting to be delayed with 10 minutes to give you enough time to complete the task.
9 AM - Morning meeting
Today's Super Sim is Ochana. The day will be rather packed with events, so there might be less time for completing Super Sim's whims, but I think she might benefit from wearing that silly green hat anyway.
First, let's get done with the regular stuff. Super Sim Ochana has no purchase whims or wish, less than §100.
Now, for today's secretly delivered note. Today everyone will empty their pockets during this meeting. This is done to avoid that someone throws in the bigger surprise values on the very last day, earning them the surprise point that might affect the top ranked contestants. It's more fair if we get to know those secrets today. Also, any values sold after this meeting, will earn the contestant only 50% of the votes, while the rest is added to the common account as Simoleons. So, selling the stuff today gives more points.
Today the Chores & Skills session will be very short, as the group will split at 11 AM. The girls will go for a scavenger hunt (more about that later), while the boys stay home for their individual interviews.
At 4 PM all 8 will travel to another town, Oasis Springs, visiting a lounge there. It's the first time I actually enter a lot in Oasis Springs, so not only the 8 contestants look foward to this :)
So the day will be busy, and also keep in mind that tomorrow at 4 PM all Reward Scores will be converted to points (1:1), which probably adds 400 to 800 points to each person, and might affect the rank greatly!
- Interview? Nobody told me there will be an interview! Will it be published somewhere? Will I gain some fame?
Ochana reminds Otto about the order of the subjects, and first we'll empty our pockets!

Pop Art painting will be gifted later today, and only one painting can be sold per day, so Confident painting §935 is sold now, while Surrealistic painting §216 and impressionism painting §125 must be sold on day 19 and day 20 (earning only 50% of value). This means there's a new number one: Toby! Ochana looks a tad disappointed over there, she is definitely still a contender, and so is also Ona. But can the others really catch up with more than 2600 points within the 3 remaining days? If so, they will need lots of luck!

Ochana hurried out to dig up her thing, she was hoping for some values, but only found the regular doll worth 35 points. And there isn't really time to fulfill any of her whims, she wants to "schedule a date" or "start a new career". None of them can be done right now because the girls are off for some expedition!
11 AM - Girls' Scavenger hunt
Today and tomorrow the girls and boys will split at 11 AM. One group will go scavenger hunting in town, while the other group gets interviewed!
There are of course points involved, but only for digging up one treasure. For the girls there will also be one whim to follow, which will give them a few Reward points, that will add to regular points tomorrow at 4 PM.
Today Ochana, Ona, Fiona and Sissela will go scavenger hunting at Gloom Garden. According to rank they will dig up one item and then run off to fulfill one whim according to their number, if it can be done without traveling. If there's not enough dig sites for them all, well - that's bad luck!
No negative points involved.
They will have lunch in the garden if they want.
So let's go!
Arriving Gloom Garden, it's obvious that both Sissela and Fiona need to use a bathroom. The original plan was to have all 4 walk together, but it seems easier to let them do what they want until it's their turn to find a dig spot.
Ochana ranks first, then Ona, Fiona and Sissela.
Ochana digs up a piece of Pyrite, worth only 30 points. She decides to call the geo council, maybe it will increase the value? But no, the call does not affect the value.
Now, Ochana has two whims, and because her number is 8, it gotta be whim number 2 (8-2-2-2=2): Schedule a date. She calls Kale, her lovebird some while ago, she invites him to Gloom Garden, maybe they can hang out while the other 3 dig up their stuff. Kale arrives and Ochana is directed to greet him and flirt a little, from there they will do whatever they like.
Ona spots a dig spot up the hillside. She jogs up there, and digs up a treasure map worth 80 points! Hm... should she talk Fiona or Sissela into using her map, and then they can probably share a greater find?
Ona's whim number 1 is to buy a treadmill, which can't be done now. Her very first wish though (the one trigged by her emotion, is to do sit-ups. That's easy to perform, so let there be sit-ups!
Ona finds Sissela in the BBQ area. The funny thing here is that Sissela was very much in the red, even very hungry. I had to direct her to grab some hot dog, then I noticed that it was Sissela who actually grilled the food - I've seen this many times in the game, a hungry sim prepares some fiid but forgets to eat it... well.
Ona suggests to Sissela that she can use the treasure map that Ona just found, then Sissela might find a better valued treasure, and the two of them can share the points equally. But no, Sissela has no intention of helping Ona!
Fiona and Sissela run off to find some values. They need to meet the guys at Oasis Springs at 4 PM, and it's now 3 PM - better hurry or Sissela won't get any points at all.
Fiona finds another dig spot, and digs up some heavy metal worth 65 points! Her number is 5, meaning she should try whim number 1 (5-2-2=1), Talk to self... well, why not...
Sissela finds a Citrine crystal worth 50 points. Then she has no whim, or there is no time for performing it (I forgot to note anything), but I like the last picture of Sissela, seems like she praises the lovely scenery. She is a Loner, and being alone in nature must be a good thing to her :)
12 AM - Boys' Interviews
While the girls are gone, the guys are up for short, individual interviews. We'll simply catch them according to rank, wherever they are at 12 AM, and have a very brief talk.

- Ha, I was excited, I must admit. But I had no idea I would beat Ochana just like that.

- Nah, the others earned lots of points too, and I have no idea how the Reward score thing tomorrow will affect this. So let's see.

- It's been fun! Too much focus on chores, hardly any time tp play the violin.

4 PM - Group outing, Oasis Springs
Now it's time for the exciting trip to Oasis Springs, and to enjoy whatever is on offer at The Solar Flares lounge! There's serious points involved:
300 points - first to drink something
200 points - first to clean something
-200 points - anyone who fall asleep
-500 points - anyone fighting
The group arrived safely, and right away this place feels different from Gloomville. This will be interesting, although it might have been even better to explore some of the outdoors on a first stop.
I wonder what chaos this entrance would have caused if 8 sims were arriving in TS3. I love how they can walk stairs no matter how big the crowd is.
The entire loungs is upstairs, giving them a good view to the outdoors. Most of them flock to listen to a comedian standing there in a corner.
All except Quatore who fell asleep on a sofa right away! There goes 200 points!
I never saw a group audience like this at Gloomville's Captain Blue Nightclub.
It looks like Toby is stealing the show here, but he is actually just talking with one of the local old ladies. They moved to sit down instead, continuing their chat there, which probably pleased both the comedian and the audience :)
But who will be the first to drink something? This entire session is of course on freewill, and right now Fabian walks over to the bar...
He gets seated, but hestarts chatting instead of ordering a drnk. Now Toby is inside the bar counter, and Fiona is appearing too...
Few minutes later Toby grabbed the violin, and started entertaining the crowd! It's a good thing that a sim will need a few skill points to pick up any instrument by free will. This way we avoid listening to real awful music.
Not saying Toby is very good at it yet, his aspiration level equals to tone deaf :)
And at the bar! Fiona finally got her drink! This earns her 300 points!
It's only the first to drink something that earns points. Points still up for grab is if someone cleans something. Falling a sleep or fighting will cost points.
I like this lounge! It's spacious but still not too big.
Sissela is the only one of the 8 who still listens to the comedian.
The audience doesn't look too amused, though... I thought the comedian was a pro, but maybe he isn't good at it at all? Some laughed at his jokes though.
Otto has joined one of the older ladies, Aileen Gleason. Note that she holds 2 drinks! Is she just greedy, or couldn't she make up her mind when ordering?
Otto must be a tad confised that all the local women are pretty gray and old. He could still flirt with them, but somehow I think he won't :)
Then, also Fiona picked up the violin!
Fiona is just as skilled as Toby, and she has the Music lover trait, I think that's why she pulls some disgusted expressions while playing. It's probably better to practise alone at home, Fiona, if you don't think it sounds good! There is a new comedian, and she looks annoyed that Fiona plays while a joke is told... I would have been, too.
It's soon time to return to Gloomville! And then, just 15 minutes before departing...
Toby hits the coach, and falls asleep, costing him 200 points! This will reduce his lead, but will it affect the rank?
Back in the Sims by Numbers house, it's time for Toby to gift the very last painting. All dino stencils have now been replaced by paintings, one every 2nd day. He naturally gifted those of lower value, but at least there is a good mix of styles and motives.
So, the day has come to an end.
11 PM - Moods & Scores
There is only one green plumbob in the house tonight, and it's Ona. She is tomorrow's Super Sim, will it give her a chance to climb to top 2?
- Congratulations on your green plumbob! I see you already grabbed Ochana's green hat?
- Thank you! Yes, I have a feeling tomorrow will be hectic, and it would be too bad if I forget the hat before the meeting starts.
- And you found a treasure map. Was you allowed to discuss a strategy with Sissela?
- Oh, how do you know? Nothing happened!
There are no red plumbobs, but 4 orange; Otto, Ochana, Sissela and Quatore. The weakest of them all belongs to Otto. Was it the old women of Oasis Springs who drained his energies? He is tomorrow's Loser, and will hand over 200 points to Super Sim Ona, unless he fulfills the midnight challenge! Otto's number is 8 and today is day 18, giving the total number 8+18=26. There are just 9 challenges, so Otto must do challenge number 26-9-9=8.
8. Visit a neighbour and steal any harvest available (1 plant)
Well, it's totally random that we got this challenge so many times! Are there still some harvestables over at Willow Farm? Yes there is, and Otto easily solves the midnight challenge within 60 minutes. Sorry Ona, no points coming your way!
