Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Gloomville Diaries - Gen. 1 - Ch. 1 - Returning to Glee Abode

Welcome to the very start of Gloomville Diaries! This is a laid back story about a small town, but the focus is mostly on smaller episodes taking place in one household, the Mox family. Expect nearly daily updates for October, then I think there will be 1-2 chapters weekly.

This is a The Sims 4 legacy, but instead of many legacy rules and points there are a handful missions and traditions to pass on to new generations. More about legacy mission and directions later, in chapter 3 to be exact :).

Right now we'll focus on the founder, because she arrived Glee Abode at 10 AM. Ochana Mox, proud winner of the Sims by Numbers Show that took place in this very house for 20 days. She spent last night in Hotel Shady Pearl, but while the other seven contestants started looking for somewhere to settle, Ochana could return to this huge house - her very own!

Ochana won the house and she did already sign some document:

The Contract

Ochana Mox accepts to marry
and to have minimum 3 children.

Ochana Mox accepts that her family shall reside
Glee Abode at Willow Field hood of Gloomville
for minimum 6 generations.

Ochana Mox accepts to follow Rules and Directions,
and to never involve anyone
but Main Heir and Second Heir.

That's all she knew so far. The only catch was founding a large family when having a Noncommittal trait, but it must work out! After all she aspires to marry a soul mate, and those rules and directions can't be all that bad?

That's not the appearance of a happy winner, though...
- Oh, I'm just confused! Everything feels different now that I'm alone...

Ochana was greeted by a mature woman.

- Hello, dear. I'm Aileen Gleeson, I'm involved with the Sims by Numbers Show management. Congratulations on your win!
- Thank you! Uhm, did something change around here, the house looks different, yet it's the same...

- A few adjustments took place, dear. You won a house worth §40.000. So we did our best to make sure it's worth exactly §40.000. It's a little bit smaller, but you can hardly tell!
- And the... mission? I signed the contract, but didn't receive the directions yet...
- Later, Ms. Mox! We'll meet again at Captain Blue Nightclub tonight. Please prepare a brief Winner's Speech!

Then the woman handed her the house keys, and quickly walked away.

Ochana unlocked the front door and entered her future residence. There was only 1 Simoleon left in her pocket, but having a good hand with money, she had already made some plans. She didn't grab that Accountant Chore for no reason. Her plan was to sell off some of those dreadful curtains, and she could also sell most off the beds upstairs, and nearly all the toilets and sinks, and...

- What? This can't be true!

The place looked totally abandoned.

- Ah, it's the light! They just removed the ceiling lamps! Phew!

- Oh, no wait!

As she walked into the empty kitchen, she started to realize. Did they empty the house to meet the §40.000 limit? She ran over to the dining room where they used to have those morning meetings...

- Oh no! Everything is gone! I'll start off with a huge house but nothing inside!

What a disappointment! How could she found a family in an empty house?

She felt like escaping reality by playing a computer game in the library. She did that often during the Sims by Numbers Show. She knew there were tasks that should be handled first, but it would be okay to play only for a short 15 minutes...

- Of course... library is empty too! No nothing...

Ochana was quite upset. She owned nothing except plenty of walls and a roof. If it wasn't for the contract she already signed, she would have sold this house and settled somewhere smaller. A smaller house containing everything she needs would have made for a much better start!

- And no closeups, please!

Of course she had to walk upstairs, too, to check her bedroom...

Empty! She would have expected them to remove her roommate Ona Rosewood's bed, but the room was completely stripped. And so were all the other rooms upstairs.

She walked downstairs and cleaned up a little trash here and there. And then she noticed, over there by the garden doors... was it the legacy instructions?

No, it wasn't. It was her old accountant books from the Show. And the fish bowl that used to be in their kitchen. All totally useless!

Then Ochana heard someone at the front door. She recognized the sounds from the postman delivering some mail. She hurried outside...

- Oh oh, bills already? §1.767 and I have absolutely nothing! So how can I pay these within less than 48 hours? I've got today and tomorrow to raise funds!

She ran into the garden to sell any harvest she could find. Wild bluebells and roses that Fiona Robberton planted during the show. Now it all belonged to Ochana. But it won't last long, because she never liked gardening, and definitely not in such huge portions.

And the fruit tree over there, why did it look so sad? And why did she feel like she should save it? They never harvested any apples, so maybe it's a pear tree? She noticed a sweet elderly couple flirting, and she felt lonely. But, first funds, then romance, she thought.

Luckily she found 2 dig sites where they all had dug for values for 20 days, as part of the show's Super Sim benefit.

- Now I can dig up these things every day, whenever I like! And best thing, I won't need to wear that silly green hat!

She had received the green hat as a memory to keep, but decided never to wear it again!

Selling the limited harvests didn't bring in much, so she also sold one of the two staircases for §1080. In fact she won't need the 2nd story for a long time so maybe she should sell the other staircase, too? And some wallpapers? Selling some upstairs walls?

She could even scale down parts of the house, it's very spacious for one person with no cash...

- It's too early for me to make these big decissions right now... I need to buy some new clothes first, I'm sick and tired of this "woman number 8 outfit" from the CAS Demo store! And I want to do something romantic. And right now I need a shower...

She decided to travel to the Gym. There she could shower, meet a few guys, and with some luck even lose some weight. She had put on quite a bit during the Show.

- Oh, why didn't I rather travel wearing my "Sports outfit number 8"?

She was hungry, too, so after a quick shower, she ate some garden salad leftovers.

Of course she didn't know that those leftovers were cooked by Fabian Rumple back on the day when the Show traveled to this Gym... Sitting there gave here some time thinking. She had accepted a contract spanning 6 generations... but not yet knowing anything about those rules and directions, it was simply impossible to plan anything. She should get herself a decent job, but what if it conflicted with her secret mission?

She worked out for a couple hours. She decided to go directly from gym to the celebration party at Captain Blue Nightclub just down the street. It would allow her to spend the time more effectively, and she brought her "Formal outfit number 8" in a bag.

And Ochana didn't dress in pink without hoping for the guys' attention!

Hm, she looked around... not many interesting guys at the Gym today. She was too snobby to hang around with just anyone...

- Ouch, my arm hurts! Hey guys, exhausted woman in pink with a bad arm, uhm, help...

- Argh...

Then she slipped and fell...

A guy walked up to her.

- Hi, I'm Bob Maynard. You need some help?

For some reason Ochana chose to talk about beds during her very first hello to a new guy. Well...

She probably just told Bob that she will have to buy a new bed tonight.

And what's with those fingers, girl, that doesn't look like a normal jogging routine...

Never mind, Bob might be single, but she found him too skinny!

Before getting ready for the big party at 10 PM, Ochana decided to look around for some collectable values. She will need anything she can find, berries or diamonds, if it's a short walk and a quick harvest, she'll grab just everything she sees.

Then she came up with the brilliant idea. Why not calling Kale Baxter? They had a quick romance at Gloom Garden, long ago. Kale was a bit on the sloppy side, but if she tried hard not being too snobby, it could still work, right?

(To be continued in chapter 2 tomorrow. The party at Captain Blue Nightclub is coming up!)
