Gloomville Diaries - Gen 1 - Ch 7: Pregnant!

Ochana Mox is no longer alone! Chad Pickens moved in with her, and they are officially going steady!

Chad got himself a job in the Entertainment track, not making much money a day, but he brought savings of nearly §20.000. So, they could buy some more stuff, and finally there was something reminding of a living room - in the large hall. They even got a small TV, and both loved spending the nights watching various channels.

- I want to rearrange the rooms a bit, said Ochana, knowing it should wait until they had a more steady income.

Chad loved strutting around in his sleepwear. Ochana was a bit surprised that he wasn't more skilled. Okay, he was extremely well skilled in Fitness, but aside of that he didn't really know much. Not even gardening.

They often ate their dinner in front of the TV. Then one night, while they were eating and watching a movie, Ochana heard some dump sounds from upstairs.
- Oh... did you hear that, Chad?
- Hear what?
- That sound...
- Probably just the TV. Or me chewing your lovely Garden Salad.

Yes, they were still eating lots of salad. They could have afforded a stove, but Ochana had these strange worries that if something happened to her, the mission would be lost. So she just wanted to read up a little more on cooking before they got a stove.
- And you, Chad, will need to read up, too, and you might serve me spaghetti some day!

They could hardly eat a meal without starting to flirt half way in.

Sometimes Chad would show up when Ochana was busy in the most private rooms...
- I just had to be near you, Ochana! he said, and waited patiently for her to get done with her business...

Hm, quite romantic, not... and I hate taking a picture with walls cut down, but there was no other way in such a small room.

The next day, Ochana had decided to visit the folks at Willow Farm. She had lived here at Glee Abode for several weeks now, and it was on time to see more neighbours.

To her surprise the neighbour from across the street, Adrian Hikes, was standing outside. Again.

- Hello Adrian. What's on?
- Hi, Ochana! Uhm, nothing special, just wanted to stop by.
- Again?
- Uhm, yes? Are you safe? Did you talk to old Niels Grossing yet?

But Ochana had not visited the Grossing family. That is, she did visit all the neighbours except Adrian and his siblings, back when she was on the Sims by Numbers Show.

Well, Ochana excused herself, and walked on to Willow Farm.

She was greeted by Mark Oaksdale, he told her that his older brother Agaton was out, and so was Agaton's fiancé, Sonia.
- Oh, bad luck then, Ochana said. Or maybe not!
- What?
- Eh, nothing! she said blushing slightly. - It's a lovely day to stop by anyway!

She learned that Mark had moved in with his brother some months earlier. Agaton and Sonia planned to marry soon, and Mark would consider moving on.
- So you and your brother Agaton grew up here then? Ochana asked.
- Not really. Agaton bought the farm when the late farmer died. Our grandfather lived here though, so you could say we are back.

- I'm eager to learn about this hood, Ochana explained.

- Then you must talk to Sonia! She is quite interested in all kind local history! After their wedding she will be around more often, I guess. Try again then.

Discovering that Willow Field hood was full of handsome men, Ochana wanted to move on with her relation to Chad. Going steady wasn't realy much compared to marriage!

Ochana found the time had come to taste poison number 2! Right before Chad returned from work, she opened the pink bottle and emptied it!

And it probably took effect right away! When Chad turned up, she grabbed him, hugged and kissed him, and before they knew it they were in the bedroom. And this time Ochana did not play Tickle-a-Sim on her cellphone.

Afterwards, Chad flirted even more than usual during their dinner.
- You are lovely today, dear! he said, sending a kiss across the table.
- Would you like to have the rest of my micro dinner, Chad?

The next day Ochana was out in the garden when she suddenly was feeling pretty bad!

She had to throw up, and yes, you are right!

Few hours later she realized that she was pregnant!

- Oh my! Heir number 1 is huge!

She was pretty big before, but now it felt like she doubled her size!

She found Chad in the kitchen, and told him.

- Chad, we're going to have a baby!
- Yeah!Yeah?

As soon as Ochana had to eat for two, nobody could stop her from eating all day. Chad knew there was no point telling her that she didn't really have to eat all that much all the time, because Chad could not follow her all day anyway.

One night when Ochana was at home alone, she decided to read up on cooking. They had a few books, and sitting there in the main hall living room was calm and silent.

Then she heard some sound from upsairs again! Or was it really nothing?

- Hm, that was not the sound of a nothing, Ochana thought and put the book away.

They had hardly been upstairs because the rooms were empty and they didn't really need both stories yet. They had even discussed removing the staircase, but Ochana liked the rail and it did remind her of the show.

Arriving the 2nd floor, she heard no sounds at all. It was all very quiet. Or wait, was that a sound?

If it came from the hobby room, the long atelier where they had painted and crafted wood on the show's very last day, then it could just as well be a bird on the long balcony right outside the hobby room.

But the bird must have flown because there was nothing more to hear. So maybe it was a nothing after all?
