Welcome! :) On this blog you will find stories, how i play and videos created with The Sims 4, but also a few projects from older game versions can be found in the Archive. The old TS3 stories have their own blogs. Most long going stories have a main page with index of updates.

Check out Simmerville's Youtube channel!

I'm no longer on Tumblr! I refused to give all their 3rd parties unlimited access to my computer. Link still works, but no updates.

Gloomville Diaries - Gen 1 - Ch 13: Wedding

The wedding of Ochana and Chad was planned, and now was the big day!

Twins Edith and Miranda were quite excited this morning. When Miranda got out of bed, Edith was already busy making a drawing!

- What are you up to? Miranda asked.
- Just a gift for mom and dad! Edith answered, still very focused on the job. - Wedding, you know! What's your gift?
- Uhm, I was thinking a hug from Drago, but he must wake up first!

It was a busy day. The wedding would take place at Gloom Garden, and Ochana could hardly wait! They decided to keep it rather simple, no chef was hired although Ochana had debated with herself whether Fabian Rumple from the Sims by Numbers Show could have been ordered. He always cooked great food on the show! But they decided to hire a musician instead. Ochana thought Toby Twoller could be a good choice, but they had lost contact.

Just a quick meal before heading to Gloom Garden.

- Is it true that you will wear your gym outfit, dad?
- Ha, no, that's not true, Mirnda! A groom will most often wear a nice black outfit.
- And the bride will wear the most beautiful long dress you ever saw, girls! Ochana added.

Ochana was nervous. Would the shiny dress make her look huge?

Well, yes, Ochana, you did look a bit bigger than Chad, but that might just be natural as you were both older. Older guys stay fit, and older women growing bigger.

Anyway, the setting was lovely in a dedicated spot of the park. Pretty simple, but with room for adjustments to meet personal desires.

There are currently two wedding locations in Gloomville, this park and a terrace at the Museum.

- Oh, dear! Chad whispered. - All those guests and no chef. And I think we forgot to bring our own wedding cake!
- We actually forgot to bake it, Ochana whispered back. - We'll feed the guests some hot dogs from the picnic area...

The place was not packed, but many locals as well as Ochana's friends from the show had attended. From the show Sissela Morck (standing) was there, so was Ona Rosewood (sitting wearing lime) and Fiona Robberton (grey dress standing up there). Willow Field neighbours were there too, Adrian Hikes, Agaton Oaksdale, Mark Oaksdale, Brenda Kammin. The only house not represented was the Grossing.

And then the formal ceremony was over, Ochana and Chad were married!

No clapping, no confetti, no shouting. Everyone behaved very controlled.

Some switched seats. Mark Oaksdale and Brenda Kammin, both singles, seemed very well acquainted, but then they are neighbours. Ona Rosewood back there seems not so satisfied, what was on her mind?

Chad left the party for a while to rather watch a chess game. Adrian Hikes joined him.

Ochana greeted more of the guests, also Charlotta Murderia Crumpleyon was there, and Ochana wanted to ask about the Crumpletons' history, but decided to stay low for now.
- Charlotta, how nice of you to come!
- Oh Ochana, I recall you from that show, I just was in the park anyway...
Charlotta had attended a few parties at the show house back then.

- How are your family doing, Charlotta? Ochana had to ask. Maybe the teenager would give here some clues?
- Oh, mom and dad are fine! she answered. - My younger brother just had his birthday, we gave a nice party.
- I bet you know all town, Ochana suggested.
- Not really, Charlotta continued. - we don't get much put. I was grounded when dad got to know that I visited you guys at Willow Field hood. I'm not supposed to go there.

Ochana mingled, and so did Chad. They both missed a cake though.

- Should have brought a cake, Chad whispered as he hugged her. - Your friend Ona seems rather unhappy, I guess she would like some cake.
- Oh Chad! Don't make me laugh, Ochana whispered back.

And a silent hug was replaced with a more dramatic one.

Chad noticed that someone was walking off. Adrian Hikes obviously was sad to see Ochana hugging Chad. Silly neighbour guy, you knew it was a wedding and if you were attracted by Ochana you could just have chosen not to go!

The party ended soon, anyway.

The wedding at Gloom Garden costed §1250, and there was still some money left. Ochana ordered a new dining room and for the first time they could eat their dinner outside the kitchen.

- This is a perfect room for dinners, Ochana stated. - How did you like my pasta?
- It's perfect, dear! Both the room and the food!

- Dad, what shall we do tomorrow? Edith wanted to know.
- Tomorrow? How about walking to town and try some fishing for a dangerous fish?
- Oh, really?

Ochana thought that would be a great plan. If Chad took the girls to fish, she could check out more of the books in the attic.

And it would be on time she got to visit old Niels Grossing across the street, too! If he was a retired policeman, he would probably know a few stories to share!

  1. Yay, I'm caught up! I think Ona is still jealous of Ochana's success on the show. I love how Ochana's desire to lose weight never stops her from enjoying cake and pasta!

I've finished House of the Rising Sim. It was fun, but I won't miss the scoring! I think I really messed up the number of points, anyway--no one could compete with the painter, even after I changed the rules midway through and quit letting him sell paintings. Oh, well!

    1. Hello! I know what it's like to catch up, so - well done! :) I'm catching up with your HRS project, it's great to see you are posting this frequently, it means you are having fun :) About painter earning to many points, in my project it definitely made some impact, but the painter could sell only 1 work per day, and was charged for the initial costs (§75 per work mostly). Off to read more of your project reports!

    2. That's what I should have done! Made him subtract the cost of each painting from the sale, and get points only from the profit. Somehow I missed that part.

    3. Well, in my show, if Toby *had* sold one painting every day he could, he would probably have won. Even if costs were subtracted.
